I was expecting a huge difference, but the Switch version looks really good, it's not as much of a downgrade as I expected.

The Switch is a little beast of a console. It's not surprising considering Nintendo blew us away with the GameCube years back.

it's not how bad the switch is that strikes me it's how small an improvement the ps5 is ! with loads of pop in on the tree lines for ps5 you could argue switch does itself a favor by not having them.

Bandai Namco makes an excellent port like Ace Combat 7 but doesn't do the same for Tekken 8, Soul Calibur 6, Dark Souls 2 and 3, or Elden Ring. All of these games support the same level of pixel shader as the Nintendo Switch, and all require a quad-core CPU as a minimum requirement. They made excellent ports of Tekken on the PSP, which had a much smaller audience compared to the Switch. Oh Bandai Namco, what's going on?

A GTX 1060 3GB can only run Tekken 8 decently on low graphic settings to get 60fps. Switch has a much slower GPU than a GTX 1650 (contrary to what people say out there). Maybe that's the problem

@@Bruno-zu6bh Gamers often make the mistake of treating PC specs as a principle rather than a consequence. Tekken requires a minimum of a 1060 on PCs because the PC environment is less optimized than consoles. What matters here is the Pixel Shader, as direct compatibility defines total hardware support for similar resource levels. The loads can be adjusted by the quality of materials, textures, number of objects, and scene calls. You need a team of programmers and designers for that. The problem is that publishers, who fund the developers, aren't creating the environment for these ports. They might think that unless Nintendo makes a deal with them, there's no interest in the market, realizing that a significant portion of Switch users have other consoles. Frankly, it's very close to a boycott: two consoles get the games, the third doesn't because more attention is needed for optimization.

Bandai Namco sucks. They became like Konami. Sure a Soul Calibur 5 or Tekken 7 on switch would have worked, but they have no employees to make those ports.

It's not their fault for making a bad port, it's your own for funding one on a bad console in the first place

30FPS, likely using rapid packed math for ray marching of clouds as I expected on PS4 Pro. Shadows are cut back, but not as much as I expected. The clouds are a standout feature, and it's clear that object quality was reigned in. The resolution is much higher than I expected, too. 720p, maybe 800p, definitely using some upscaling TAA, probably UE4's own temporal upscaler. This looks much better than I expected, but not outside of Switch's capabilities.

Die Switch-Version sieht schon echt großartig aus. Das Spiel zeigt eindrucksvoll, was alles machbar ist. Die Entwickler haben fantastische Arbeit geleistet.

And thats on a nearly 8 years old handheld barley outsourcing the WiiU! There are less details and the trees are more flat. For the rest not so much difference! Is this game really running on PS5?? If yes then CUDOS Switch!! Imagine what Switch Up will do with the estimated Power of an XSS when it launches next year😮😮😮

At this point the switch has proven it can run PS4 games multiple time now it definitely has some secret sauce that takes it above the PS3 and Xbox 360 by a long margin.

Regardless of the comparison it's because of Nintendo that I knew this gem I played assault horizon legacy and just got me hooked even now I tell Xbox and playstation users about this game and they had no idea this game was out 😅😅😅 pretty sad hope it gets more attention it's awesome 😎👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Trees popped in and 30 fps on the switch. 60 fps, longer draw distance and lushier trees in on PS4 and ps5. Actually what we're seeing here is just a backward compatibility from PS4 version.

This is practically abusing, isn't it? lol. Everything is blurry as fk on switch. It's less obvious when you play on tv and sit far (which is why most can still take it), but if you play on monitors, it's totally unplayable
