choose a special weapon that can destroy a lot of ground targets per shot like 8AGM. when at the runway: ignore everything that approaches from the sky and just fly low, keep circling the runway and destroy everything on the ground. Only when that's done engage with the planes and copters

When I saw the new Top Gun, my mind immediately went to Ace Combat during the canyon run briefing.

I watched the new top gun, playing this mission for the first time especially during that briefing brought me back inversely!

That’s the reason I passed this going at almost top speed.(failed several times)

My best tip is to keep your altitude low and your watch your speed. Also use simple controls as it’s much easier to fly than in expert with this mission. If you just can’t complete it do what I did and leave the campaign for a few days or maybe a few hours then come back to it.

Got through it first time but the game glitched afterwards and the tanks were shooting at nothing on the ground. No targets were left and the clock kept running. Took 5 more tries to beat it again. Listen to the ground forces when the need help, not helping them will fail the mission.

Once you pass point 3 you can fly over the cliff rather than fly right, left, right. Just remember stay under 600m
