One thing I can say JA did right was... If a plane flies into the ground, even controlled by the AI, they will explode. Seriously. I was stunned when I first saw it. All those years, watching those smug AI bastards noclip through terrain... And now, their biggest asset has been turned against them. (And of course the shit-ass AI will gleefully nosedive into the ground for zero reason)

Ming-bogglingly enough, fucking _Airforce Delta_ managed to get the "AI not clipping through terrain" thing right before Ace Combat did. The AI actually made an active effort to avoid flying into the ground. There are some hiccups here and there, but it's certainly no "Flanker buying the farm". (no i'm not fanboying over airforce delta shut your face)

+Danny 2501 I did, noted it in the description. "Buying the farm" is slang for a plane crash (derived from the USAF paying reimbursements or outright buying farms where planes crash). Gave me a hell of a laugh when I saw it. Planes fly through terrain all the time in this game, but not quite like that, lol.
