@@Agent1W No Grabacr or rather Ashley Bernetz (Grabacr 1) was the pilot that shoots down Bartlett in the Belkan war. Ashley if i'm right was a pilot Pops (Huckelbein) didn't like. That reason plus the Gray Men (leaders of the war faction of Belka) wanted him to drop a nuclear weapon on his own hometown, leading him to go AWOL and lead to this little encounter.

If you do this mission in mercenary an you shoot down SU-47 Natchigall after mission update BUT BEFORE HUCKEBEIN this one and HTBRKONE will be shot down by an SU-47 GRABACR and you can destroy him.

8:02 if I'm not mistaken, that must be MIG-31 Foxhound the top speed of that plane is 3,000 km/h and it's considered to be the fastest jet, ladies and gentlemen you better give credit to the Russians, they developed the best plane. Personally, when it comes to best technology, there's no plane better than the F-22 Raptor, as for the F-15 Eagle it's extremely best in air combat and the top speed is 3,087 km/h

This is the Belkan War that was talked about in 5. This particular mission (on Mercenary Style) just so happens to be the same one that Pops and Bartlett got shot down in (the Former getting shot down by Ashley if Cipher doesn't do it). If you're asking if whether or not Pops getting shot down by Cipher is cannon, that's up for the player to decide.

The backstory of Pops and Bartlett is told in the Mercenary style, but I think official canon is that regardless of who deployed, to B7R to stop Cipher, both were shot down by Ashley Bernitz (Grabacr). Don't know why, but I'm sure if Schwarze caught Huckebein before he made it to B7R and Ashley tangled with Bartlett before you arrive, that could explain it.

It's canon to say that Pops was shot down by Cipher as well. However, the same can't be said for Bartlett since during this mission there's an allied F-14 flying as HRTBRK ONE. Unfortunately, except for a few things, it's hard to determine what the official canon is for that moment since all we knew from 5 was that Bartlett and Pops were both shot down during the operation.

he was escaping/defecting from his old country, so there's no time for him to get involved in the conflict since the Schwarze squadron we're currently hunting him down though Cipher here luckily shot him down without any chance for him to retaliate

@@imperialwyvern I'm pretty sure it is, though it's not indicated. No other reason to fly only the F-15C, especially when some levels would benefit with the usage of another plane. Probably for presentation reasons, or the fact that it's just tradition. I know Tuga used a unique plane in each episode of his playthrough, but he was on emulator and a few of the videos don't have the best quality in the world.
