Congratulations on passing your CCNA. Just wanted to remind those who are not familiar with Boson's Ex-Sim in that the practice exams are not the exact same questions that is on the CCNA exam. Boson is not in the business of spoon-feeding candidates the questions/answers unlike a Pass4Sure or other brain-dump site. This is about familiarizing yourself with the level of difficulty expected in the exam, and thus highly crucial that you know the concepts of the material. Discipline and desire should be the driving force to reaching this goal. Whoops, slipped into asian mom mode on that last part. lol.

Hello, This is my feedback about the Boson exam platform. I purchased Boson ExSim-Max for the Cisco 200-301 CCNA Exam, and I have practiced the exam multiple times and thoroughly read the questions and their explanations. As a result, I have memorized all 315 questions and answers. I trusted Boson as a reliable platform, and the high scores I achieved in the practice simulations with the Boson ExSim-Max made me confident that I could pass the exam. Unfortunately, the questions on the real exam were very tough and did not match the ExSim-Max questions. As a result, I failed my CCNA exam, which was held on May 21, 2024.

Thanks for your honest feedback and for sharing your experience. Terribly sorry to hear that you didn’t pass. It’s a good warning to others to not completely rely on Boson. As I highlighted in the video, even if you remember the answers, you should be able to explain and justify out loud why the answer is correct. Happy holidays my friend! I recommend you supplement Neil Andersons course with Jeremy's IT lab free course on KZbin, Jeremy knows how to break down complex topics like STP. I believe you are referring to the OCGs. I only checked those books when they were referenced in Boson or when I needed to read about a particular topic to consolidate what I already know about it.

Hey Fernando, that's perfectly fine. Don't beat yourself up about it. Be humble, everyone fails exam A. You have plenty of time. Boson is really hard compared to the real exam, at least now you know exactly where you are and you can now move forward. Note down your weak areas and get to work. You got this!

In multiple answer questions, (Those where you have to select 2 or 3 options), if you get one incorrect, you get no points for that question in Boson. Whereas the CCNA awards points for the options you selected correctly.

Hi John, I feel so discouraged… I followed the steps and took exam A and failed like you said (58%). I then got 89% on my second attempt once I took notes in study mode. I then took exam B, it felt easier but then I got 55%! I don’t know what to do. I thought I knew way more than I do and exam B felt easier but I scored less… I’m so discouraged and don’t know where to go from now. I will continue to take notes on exam B and then take exam C but I will surely fail that too. My CCNA is booked for the 6th April and I have to pass it for my job.

Hey Netcode, I don’t know how well you’ve studied before starting to attempt Boson. Like I said in my video, this is not a shortcut or trick. You have to have studied the material beforehand :) But for what it’s worth, Boson is way harder than the actual exam because it doesn’t give partial points for the multiple answer questions, so don’t be so hard on yourself. Slow down when retaking the exams, I know it gets boring doing the same questions over and over but you need to fully convince yourself that you’re not just remembering the answer. A tip that helped me was explaining why the other options are wrong OUT LOUD and confidently. Read and watch videos/labs on topics for which you got the question incorrect. You have lots of time and I know you’re gonna do great!

No no labs are very important for topics such as OSPF, this doesn't mean you should do ALL labs. Lab as many times as possible on topics you don't understand:)

Up to you and your schedule. You can take Exam-A in one day (~2 hours) then use 3 days to review, take notes and retake the exam. Repeat for Exam B and C. 2 weeks is plenty.
