Oh man you're back! Glad to hear your condition has improved. Wayyy back when I was a young'un you were the first LPer I followed cause you were the first one i found willing to embrace failure and comedy instead of dull straight playthroughs. Influenced my taste a fair bit too- you're why I found Rocket Knight and Shinobi.

Picking something nice and easy to help ease you back into the swing of things, I see. It is good to see more let's-playing from you! I hope your wrist gets better quickly and smoothly.

I'm shocked to see this channel still active! The first video I ever watched from you was your Super Mario Land 2 boss run (the drunk one), and that was so long ago. I hope things get better for you :)

I'll probably use Loop 2 to talk about other things even moreso than this video? The first portion of Stage 5 goes over what I'm dealing with and gives a idea what exactly is wrong.

Oh Ace, you cinnamon bun.... Your recovering and yet still willing to hurt yourself for our entertainment. It's nice to hear your voice again tho.

Don't worry, this game isn't all that complex mechanically. Since so many of the controls are sort of locked in, fancy dodging isn't a thing, many of the fine manipulations that tire the hands out aren't a thing.

Also makes Castlevania weirdly viable too.

@@ACESpark I'd like to see you play some of those in truth. I never got into the classic ones.

It is great to have you back; these are weird, nasty times for everyone, and to see you still working and doing your best in spite of all the BS on your end is a welcome sight indeed.

Speaking of old video games, one of the first games I owned was Rocket Knight Adventures and I asked my mom to buy it for me because I was young, saw blue, and thought it was a Sonic game. It still has my favorite music of any Megadrive game. I have never played this one, though I don' t know if that's good or bad.

I know I am late, but its been ages since I last saw you. The new avatar surprised me a bit, but I quickly got over it and moved on. Its good to see you again.

You've come out of semi retirement from videos after however long of having a horrible hand injury, and the first game you play is a GnG game? You are infinitely more hardcore than I could hope to be

I had the NES version growing up and I agree with the sentiment there's not really any objective reasons to like it but it's still likeable, but stage settings and boss in this one are far more bizarre and interesting where I like this more having not even played it.

Too bad your health problems got worse because I found some neat rom hacks for both Wily Wars and Mega Man X. Wily Wars has one that fixes the save function and the other lets you slide in Mega Man 1 and it has PSX version thing where energy is restored after death. One of the rom hacks for X lets use an air dash like in X2. Also in my honest opinion the fireball is good on stage 4 especially the boss. Though I do not remember if it is good in the Master System version.

The SNES version may be better overall, but you're not getting neat enemies like those bone pufferfish or those creepy green hands in the forest. I love MD games... even the weird ones that no one likes. :3 Here's to hope. Here's to progress. And here's to change. Good change. WB, Sir Spark. :B

Pleased to hear you explain what's been going on with your wrist, so that I could better understand what you're going through. (For a while, part of me was wondering if you, or rather, your avatar (whom would be a mad scientist figure, right?), would need a robotic hand.) Personally, as much of a gaming fan as I am, age hasn't been so kind to me either. Not only do I have a big scar on my leg that won't go away, but my mind, reflexes, and accuracy aren't as sharp as they used to be, so I couldn't hope to play games as well as any popular e-sports gamers out there nowadays, nor can I really put much effort into speedrunning through them either. By the way, has your judging for MaGMML3 finished up? And speaking of MaGMML, having heard about how some of the levels were so epically long, maybe future contests would need to impose some kind of level design limits to make the judging process much more bearably quick and easy, such as, say, designing the level to be able to be completeable within less than 5 minutes (as a general guideline), and for judges to be able to complete the level after, say, a half-hour of trial and error before determining whether or not to disqualify the level at their own discretion? (That is, any thoughts about a "Make A Good 5-Minute-Long Mega Man Level Contest" for example?)

This one have issues with the (then unreleased) six button pad like Forgotten Worlds? The fact that you just game over *instantly* in that one always gets a laugh out of me.
