I worked in that coral gables location for 7 years, I had no idea that was part of the filming locations for Ace Ventura, crazy!!

Back in 1987 to 1995 I was going to The Cameo Theater to see thrash bands all the time. I saw Megadeth, Slayer, anthrax, Motorhead, Overkill, King Diamond, Dark Angel, Death Angel, Celtic Frost and many many more. I was born and raised in West Palm Beach and on the weekends I would travel down to Miami Beach and hang out at the beach all day and then go see shows at night at The Cameo Theater. You did a great job lining up those locations.

Thanks a lot Thomas.. Yes, there is something wrong with KZbin notifications. I tried speaking with reps about it but they claim there is no problem. Ace Ventura was my favorite movie growing up! I had the opportunity to go to Miami Beach for a work trip last year and I looked up Ace Ventura filming locations just to see if I could visit even one spot while I was there. I found 1455 Washington Ave and took a picture there. Now watching your video I probably walked right through a bunch of these locations especially since we were staying on Ocean Blvd. So cool! I'm bookmarking this video in case I ever get the opportunity to go back

I live in Miami, Florida and you did a great job with the video. I have seen and been to the places in the video shown except for the last one, the Ancient Spanish Monastery aka Shady Acres and I definitely want to visit the site whenever I get a chance. Fun Fact about the Police Station location from the movie Ace Ventura is that the building was originally a Library before it became the University of St. Augustine of Health Sciences. Any idea where Ray Finkle’s house would’ve been? It’s awesome that even some of the small things like the tree in the opening scene is still there today. I hope things like that are intentionally left in place for their importance to movies.
