"There is someone on the wing" is a reference to a Twilight Zone episode in which William Shatner ("Captain Kirk") played a role. Jim Carey impersonated the acting style of Shatner. In a movie remake from the 80s John Lithgow was the one seeing "someone".

FUN FACT: many of the more memorable scenes, such as the "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang", "Monopoly Guy" and "Shadow Puppet Projector" were largely improvised, half the time because he either forgot his lines, forgot where they were in the script or just found the original script outright boring. On several occasions, Jim Carrey would tell the Director that he had thoughts about the script, but not warn coworkers about said improv just so he could see their genuine reactions.

My dad was an extra in this movie. He was at a chamber of commerce cocktail party, and a casting director came up and introduced herself, told him she liked his "look," and asked him if he owned a tuxedo. He lied and said, "yes." Rented the tux, drove to the plantation, and can be seen in two scenes: approaching the outdoor buffet table with a classy woman on his arm as he gestures towards it; and in the "monopoly guy" scene, up on the balcony (told to react with "disgust" during Jim's antics). They filmed a good portion of it in the "jungles" surrounding Charleston. He laughed when he informed us that the cost of gas, plus the tuxedo rental, cut his earnings back to "1950s pay in 1990s dollars;" but at least he got to be in a movie. And a damned handsome man he was; looked good on camera.

People call bats, rats with wings, but they honestly look more like a breed of dog with wings. Some of em are kinda cute... But, anything with erratic flying patterns gets me. Thanks guys for this reaction!! Ace Ventura is such a classic! I always die laughing at the Monopolie scene when Ace puts that man on his shoulders 😂😂 a well balanced Jim Carrey movie with comedy and a more serious side of him are Liar Liar, and Bruce Almighty and ofcourse the Trueman show...

That shadow puppet scene was the hardest I've ever laughed in my life, when I saw it in the theater. I literally fell out of my chair laughing and was afraid I was going to pass out because I couldn't catch my breath.

"Someone on the wing" is a reference to the classic Twilight Zone episode Terror At 20,000 Feet. The original version was William Shatner and a later remake featured John Lithgow. Not only is if referenced here but both Shatner and Lithgow reference it together in an episode of Third Rock From The Sun

*You guys* if you're wondering about that weird opening, that was lifted directly from "Cliffhanger.", which would be an excellent reaction action movie.

23 is a psychological thriller, with Jim Carey in the lead. I was very surprised by his performance, an underrated movie IMHO. Also, "Yes Man" with Jim Carey is my favourite comedy of his, though that's a hard-fought battle.

Jim Carrey was in a sci-fi/musical in the late 80's titled 'Earth Girls Are Easy', alongside Geena Davis, Jeff Goldblum, Damon Wayans, and Julie Brown. It's pretty funny/ campy.

7:28 _"He said there's someone on the wing."_ ✈️ He's actually referencing a very famous *_Twilight Zone_* episode *'The Horror at 37,000 Feet'.* I highly recommend trying to get a best of _The Twilight Zone_ list from some viewers and checking out a handful of episodes. There are just so many that are iconic and just so well known by virtually everybody.

This movie is one of two comedic movies that hold a very fond place in my heart for me and my Dad. The first time me and my dad watched this movie, when it got to the part where Ace climbs naked out of the rhino, me and my dad laughed so hard we we both crying, it was one of the funniest things we had ever seen. The only other movie to ever make us laugh that hard was The 5th Element, when Ruby Rhod is screaming as the explosions go off. Comic gold.

I HIGHLY recommend Fun With Dick and Jane for your next Jim Carrey reaction. I think the humor will be more what you both are looking for and it’s about a family, which I think you’ll enjoy. It’s a great one out of his several other great movies.

I remember seeing this movie at a theater as a kid, and I was laughing non-stop throughout this movie. From "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" while driving recklessly to the "Monopoly' guy to the shadow figure presentation scene to the final battle with the Tiny Warrior. And like everybody else in the theater, we all lost it at the rhino scene.

The actor who played Quinnn also played the warden in Shawshank Redemption. The rhino scene and the scene with the Monopoly guy are so hilarious. Your next Jim Carrey movie needs to be "Dumb and Dumber." It is my favorite comedy movie.

No other Ace ventura movies, other than Ace Venture Jr, it doesnt have Jim Carrey but its more for kids. Lol. I remember enjoying it when i first saw it. There was also a cartoon 😅🤣 other Jim Carrey movies to watch? Hm, definitely Liar Liar. Maybe A Series of Unfortunate Events, the movie, he plays the villain but still funny lol. Ooh also Bruce Almighty!! A great film. Other than those, yall still need to finish the Back to the Future movies!!! Yall gotta watch 2 & 3 ! Lol.
