These two lights are excellent choices to carry into the woods on a trail at night. They function almost like mirrors of each other: one is extra floody, but can still throw, the other is extra throwy, but still has enough spill. The L35 in particular is almost a perfect hiking light, a smooth even fade from the hotspot out to the edges, huge hotspot that still has definition and distance to it despite its uniformity, and a flat runtime output when you need it to last through the hike.

I love the the perfectly beautiful tint on the l35, which also have a high CRI and thrower beam. But the p18 bezel design just too nice. Acebeam should really use that design language on the l35❤

Good comparison. I’ve had both of these. I would categorize these lights as general purpose lights. I love the temp of the l35 and the beam pattern. The p18 is long range. It also has the charging at the collar. I would go with p18.

I would disagree on general purpose, maybe for flashaholics. The P18 is a nice light but it’s beam is to cool. The L35 is a special light that is almost Goldie locks perfect for a single cell flash light. In my humble opinion 🙂

I love the p18’s light and that cloverleaf spill but the L35 is more user friendly for someone like me - I need that mode button on the body and not the tail cap. Also a lanyard makes a difference to me (because I guarantee I’ll drop it!) and the p18 doesn’t have it. :/ Anyway nice review. I really enjoy your channel!

Nice review It’s hard to believe that these two lights came from the same manufacturer. The L35 UI is so simple than the P18. I bought the L35 so I can search between the houses without disturbing anyone, which it does very well unless you hit turbo. It has a beautiful color temp and has become my favorite light of my collection. I really like quad lights, but the P18 has some weird spacings and has a messy UI for my taste. Nice hidden charging port, same as the quad 4severns. I really like your comparisons videos and overall content design. New subscriber

L35 V1 is a little bit greenish isnt it? How do you like it compared to the V2.0?

The L35 with Lattice LED is my fav. the UI in the L35 is much better, the rear switch is much better. the P18 is hard to press rear tail switch or I fumble and press the aux switch. L35 with Lattice is my winner all day.

I own 4 throwers but they are just (expansive) toys, no real benefits. Ofc, this experience is for me, living in a city and not going in the wilderness. Yet i carry the smallest one, Lumintop GTA with me all the time outside my house. Oh crap, the smallest is the 5th, Lumintop GT Nano!
