Oddly enough i feel like 4 has the most realistic energy mechanics in the series. You actually lose speed pretty fast when you turn hard compared to the rest of the later games. It also generally takes longer to gain speed so wasting it feels riskier and making mistakes more punishing. ​@@FarmYardGaming

What I particularly find interesting in this game is how, over time, the Eruseans slowly begin to take you more and more seriously, at first here they hardly even care you're there. Towards the end... well "Tanks are nothing more than metal coffins to you."

idc what anyone says. skyeye was the best awacs in the series for me. i like bandog and love long caster, but skeye was straight forward but put in a wise crack from time to time. kept my mind at ease while dodging missiles left and right lmao. plus he has that sports announcer type of voice as well

Then there's the shitty PC port, which was capped at 30 frames per second, broken controls, and was shackled by the horror known as Games For Windows Life. So yeah, Assault Horizon was a shitty game, and arguably the worst Ace Combat game ever.

Haha I remember the first few times I played this game, when I was 6 or so. Didn't know where the throttle was, glided all the way to the island and barely caught up with the bombers in time to kill them all XD. This game was MUCH better than some of the games they have now...Assault Horizon's DFM system was particularly horrible. I loved Ace Combat 6 though.

Something I Think would be nice, in future AC games is if when an enemy is close enough to you for a dogfight, the AWACS would says something like instead of waiting unitl which is basically waiting until you are in a defensive state, instead of a neutral state where it could go either way. That is something a Real AWACS will actually tell you. I know in general the dialogue is a major part of how they tell the story and it's fantastic and immersive. I just think they could add a few more realistic details to it to make it that little bit more intense. It'd be especially startling if you are doing a bombing run and you hear the AWACS call out that you Merged with another craft. It's like "oh crap!" In general though, AC gets better and better at AWACS call outs. and it's great, while still being fun and cinematic. One of my favorite series of all time. I look forward to AC8 and am wondering if it will be more of a prequell to AC3, as the timeline is catching up rapidly to AC3's 2030-2040 period.

I'm not sure about you guys but the drum-like sounds in the background of this song starting at 1:37 sound oddly familiar with the drum-like sounds in the background in David Bowie's song Blackstar starting at 0:55 of the music video. Check it out to see if you agree. Great song btw :D

Je l'adorait tellement ce jeu ! que la console fumait !ce n'était plus du jeu mais shpilé !! il fallait ètre le meilleur des meilleurs.les missons étaient top et variés ! la musique dans les transitions aux théatres des opérations.Bref rien d'entendre les partitions,je revois les scènes !...(soupire)
