Back in February, I was just listening to this song with my headphones on, in an airplane over Brazil from Manaus to Boa Vista during the night. When I looked out at the window to the cities down below lighted up in darkness, while the moon was shining so full and bright as if Luna has a good day sleep, while the clouds were still hanging, while the moon's creates reflection upon the big rivers, I couldn't contain myself to think that that moment was absolutely and undeniably beautiful. Kinda brings a tear to my eye somehow.

There are many Ace Combat missions I'd like to see remade on the current generation of consoles, this one is near the top of the list, I would love to see San Salvacion fully rendered with modern lighting effects... Imagine instead of just pretending the lights being turned on made any amount of difference for visibility, we start up the mission in complete darkness, only to suddenly have the screen filled with a thousand different light sources, illuminating the entire city in front of you. This mission would be absolutely stunning with AC7 graphics, as would several others. Imagine flying over the glaciers in Breaking Arrows for example, seeing the ice reflect brilliant shades of green and blue as the northern lights dance in the skies above you.

Ace7 needs a Remake already, it’s visuals are No Where Near as Stunning as you’re describing but only a “troubled Developmental” Taste of what’s possible Ace6 still has better visuals than 7 as it was polished And Photorealistic! 7 is not so photorealistic but only High Definition.

We've obtained orbital information on an orbital weapon called the OLDS. It's part of what they call the "Shattered Skies Project". It was created in order to keep the Ulysses fragments away from geosynchronous orbit range but Wernher R&D secretly used the system to help them deploy a tactical weapon. The system uses lasers fired from satellites to vaporize the surface of orbital matter, using the resulting thrust to change its orbit. Instead of readjusting orbits to keep the Earth safe, they've rejiggered it to send the fragments crashing to the surface, in the area of their choice. They still haven't fully analyzed the effect of these orbital strikes. I doubt its very accurate as a weapon yet. However, in theory at least, OLDS can be used to attack anywhere across the entire planet. We have Ulysses part two on our hands here. OLDS does have a safety latch of sorts which makes it impossible for the network to target manmade objects in orbit. However, it'll only be a matter of time before Wernher deactivates it. We'll be expanding the range of Operation Eternal Liberation. Campaigns are underway within the Eurasian continent as well. The Arrowblades will be reorganized by squadron and will participate in ops across the entire continent. Any of you think you can top our ace? I look forward to seeing you try. Dismissed!

I wish Ace Combat would go back to a mix of genres of music like this game did, rather than an almost purely orchestral soundtrack like the newer games do. Hearing this while blazing above San Salvacion And destroying Erusian tanks and planes felt like no other experience. The rock soundtrack while flying above Comona was an awesome throwback to the older games, and hearing that remix of an old Latin hymn while destroying Megalith made me feel like an absolute badass.

As a person who lives in Boston, I can say that this song was playing in my head when time was running out for the Marathon Bomber, and the police were getting closer to him. Everybody held their breath, as our city neared its Emancipation from the fear that had blighted it for a week. I think this song describes the mood pretty accurately, in my opinion... Edit: And now I’m getting the same musical feeling as the COVID vaccines are being rolled out, with the pandemic’s end and a return to normalcy now in sight, once again, Emancipated from fear and restrictions.

Sad thing is when you replay the game after becoming old enough to understand and appreciate the story, learning that Yellow Squadron rotates its pilots for rookies makes fighting the Yellow Squadron much less intimidating and meaningful because you learn that any yellow you shoot down is not seasoned and is not Yellow13, likewise the only Yellow you actually can't shoot down until the semi-last mission is Yellow13 because his AI is just ramped up to where no missile can hit him ever and his plane is immune to gun damage. This is part of why you can't shoot them down in the mission they debut in because their AI is just ramped up to 11 and all YELLOWs are immune to damage. I spent hours trying to shoot them down at one point only to realize it is actually impossible to do so because scripts say you can't.

That epic feeling when you pass through the archway. Imagine what it was like for the ground troops. The ISAF forces are sprinting through a city square. They can barely see the enemy through the darkness, they're path lit only by the various building lights and tracer rounds. Explosions can be seen in the skies above as an air battle as massive as it's ground counterpart ensues. They're on their last leg, desperately struggling for cover among wrecked apartments and businesses. A tattered Eurusian flag still emblazoned on the archway eclipsing the city square. As Eurusian tanks prepare to move in, a thunderous roar grows on the horizon. The ISAF troopers hear muffled, fearful shouting in the square as men run for cover. The only word they understand is "Grim Reaper" or as the ISAF know him, "Mobius One". Rallied and ready to fight once more, they charge into the square in time to see the tanks destroyed, and that legendary behemoth scream across the air above them, a mere 60 feet from the ground!
