We're back in Middle Earth with another character-this time it's the one and only, Tom Bombadil! Considered to be one of the greatest characters in all of literature, I knew I had to immortalize him in clay. Watch me sculpt him from start to finish out of polymer clay, and paint him with acrylics and airbrushing. In this full tutorial video, watch me create his armature, sculpt his face, features, clothing and all his details and then paint him with my airbrush.

How great that you created a character that was not included in the videos. It allowed you to really make Bombadil from your interpretation of Tolkien's description. I love the texture you created in the beard. You really captured the combed out naturally curly hair. So realistic!! After re-reading the LOTR trilogy, after seeing the third movie, I remember thinking, “Tom Bombadil had absolutely nothing to do with the overall story and I understand why he was left out of the movie.” I suppose he was added by Tolkien as a bit of comic relief. You captured his personality perfectly. I LOVE LOTR and could watch you sculpt every character. I’ll bet you would do an awesome job sculpting a pair of characters: Smeagul AND Gollum. Those would be my next request. Wonderful job! ❤

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! From the first time I read the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Tom Bombadil has been one of my favourite book characters. I would argue that Tom is indeed key to the plot (even tho' it might seem otherwise) because he represents all that is truly good/godlike, vs Sauron who represents all that is truly evil! I love how your sculpt turned out! Perfection!!

It's wonderfull to see you skills improving day by day. I've been following your work through the years, and i love your style and the life that you bring to every sculpture. A piece of advise as a fellow miniaturist: Add the rocks to the base before the grass. Grass tends to grow arround them, over de edges of it like a scarf. It's a tiny trick that really makes the difference. Sorry for my english. Greatings from Spain.

I've been meaning to reread Lord of the Rings books, I cannot recollect Tom Bombadil for the life of me. Either way, awesome job! Perhaps sculpt the darker side of LOTR next?? Witch King, Gollum, Ring Wraiths, Saurman- just to name a few.

I'm a fan of your's especially your the hidden world content I was inspired by your characters so I maid one myself, she is called "the perfectionist" she is inspired by the perfectionist in the courage the cowardly dog show. Making this a character is an honor 😅 Her appearance : -female -in her 60's -has pale skin -wears a black dress (between 1830's or 1900's) -has glasses like "the author" - has a necklace -has a judgy impression Back story: The Perfectionist was once a renowned artisan in the magical realm of the Hidden World. With her keen eye for detail and unwavering dedication to perfection, she crafted masterpieces that enchanted all who beheld them. However, her obsession with perfection eventually consumed her, driving her to seek flawlessness at any cost. In her pursuit of perfection, she delved into forbidden magic, seeking to imbue her creations with life. But her experiments went awry, and her beloved creations turned against her, leaving her isolated and feared by all. Now, The Perfectionist wanders the Hidden World, haunted by the echoes of her past. Armed with her ruler and clad in her timeless Victorian attire, she roams the lands, forever seeking redemption for her transgressions and perfection in a world that can never be flawless." (Sorry for long back story) How she attacks: She attacks by using a ruler out of thin air, when she is not pleased in your performance she will scream at you breaking your ear drums. Other: She only appears to people that has no care in there look's. When the perfectionist is now present the person will be teleported to a school like room and there he/she will get lectured by the perfectionist you must listen to her if not she will smack you with a ruler until a drip of blood will come out of your hand. The screaming part is when you are sleeping in class. The only way to avoid the perfectionist is to care about your appearance a little bit even for the survival or wait for a powerful guide to save you.
