Really good video friend.Ive been looking to buy a cheap laptop with the only thing i want to run on it is league and project zomboid.Do you think a celeron n4500 machine would be up to the task? More RAM will allow for more texture loading for the video processor to use. But, if you want stability in your performance, it's best to do as in the video and keep the two memories as similar as possible, for the dual channel to work perfectly. Therefore, on Acer notebooks (where RAM chips are not always soldered, even on Aspire 3 models equipped with Celeron), the best RAM upgrade scenario is 16GB (2x8GB). The main limiter of memory frequency, in order to preserve system stability, is the processor itself. After all, there is no point in buying a chip capable of operating at 3200mhz for a processor that can only handle 2933mhz, as is the case (and also considering that it is not possible to safely overclock the processor on a notebook).

Honestly I don’t think so. If your workflow/gaming requires 16GB. You’ll be hampered by the Celeron processor. Best to get a i3/Ryzen 3 or better.

Which means you can take out the 4GB that comes inside of it and replace it with a 8GB chip. And also, you can put another 8GB in the second slot (that was empty until now). And that's the best scenario to this processor. 16GB in dual channel is the best upgrade to do in this CPU...

And finally, if you are planning to do this upgrade, pay attention to the frequency of the memory: this processor can deal with up to 2933mhz, but it's almost impossible to find RAM chips with this specific frequency. So, if you can, try to find 8GB RAM chips with 3200mhz frequency, and don't worry: the processor will set up the memories automatically, and the Dual Channel will activate perfectly. This should give something like 20-30% more performance...

I just started my aspire 1 straight from shop and its always using 100% CPU if i open anything like a java based game etc, cant do high detail on Oldschool runescape even. got to do all low graphics. Why is it using 100 percent Cpu with only one not much demanding task? is something wrong or is it just this bad, i think i have the same computer as in your review without the upgrades. I think in this video I had upgraded it from 4GB to 8GB dual channel. I don't think more that 8GB will make a difference, as it's bottlenecked by the CPU.
