Hello, I have an Acer Aspire 5336 laptop. I want to upgrade its RAM. Is the maximum limit 4GB? Also, I want to change the storage to an SSD. Will that be sufficient to run Windows 10 64-bit?

Puoi aiutarmi?

Can you confirm the USB drive is working in another computer and being detected as a Windows drive?

What is the max RAM speed for this motherboard ? And do you think you can get better performance by installing RAM that is of a higher speed than the motherboard limit, only to down clock the RAM to the motherboards recommended maximum limit ?
@HaisteComputerRepair2 жыл бұрын
I believe it may max out at 1066MHz, even though in my video I installed 1333Mhz. This is due to the i5-450M being 1st generation i5 and 1066MHz is the max speed, at least for mobile. There is no real advantage to installing RAM with faster speeds in my opinion. It will automatically just run at the speed it is alotted for.

Do any lights turn on with/without the battery in place? Does it turn on and then turn off? Or nothing at all? How comfortable are you with taking it apart to take a look at a couple areas?

Hi, I have a single stick of 8GB DDR3L 1600mhz So-dimm dual rank laptop memory but it doesn't want to boot into windows7 with it (it does show up and read in my bios). I have the same laptop, but i3 version. I notice the two x 2GB sticks are 1067hz that came in the laptop. Is there a way I can make the 8GB stick work in this laptop? Thanks in advance.

If your PC is posting (Ie: getting to the point of being able to get into BIOS) perhaps it is not the RAM at fault. Does it boot inot Win 7 fine with the 2 x 2GB installed?
@ElroyForever2 жыл бұрын
@@HaisteComputerRepair yes it does, the 2 x 2GB works fine, I recently upgraded to SSD which works great and now bought the 8GB stick but gives a blue screen when the windows loading screen appears.
@HaisteComputerRepair2 жыл бұрын
@@ElroyForever Darn, then yes it seems that the RAM may be the issue. Did you buy it brand new? I can't see the type of RAM being an issue, but it might be worth Googleing to see if the DDR3L (low voltage RAM) is the issue over non "L" RAM. Search for some forum posts. Or, if you can exchange the RAM try that.

Service manual states max ram 8g via both slots I believe you need to run two 4g sticks vs 1single
@HaisteComputerRepair2 жыл бұрын
@@WilkinsChunilall That may be the case, though I am not sure. If I could have tested that out I would have. I believe it was rated as having a max memory of 8GB, so perhaps it does only take 2 x 4GB.
