@@Hari98-m2s Yup. Drastically! In light games like valorant there is no stutter whatsover and fps probably increased a bit (but the display of this laptop is just 60hz lol). In heavy AAA story games like Cyberpunk there was lots of lags and stutters on 8GB Ram but now it runs very smooth and very rarely I see any lags and stutters. Same goes for games like GTA 5, RDR2, GoW 4, Marvel's Spiderman & Miles Morales. TLDR: Yes. It did improve my gaming experience.

​​@@cizula9936i bought 1 8gb crucial ram (same one as in this video). The laptop of course already had 1 8gb ram and so now I'm using 2 x 8gb ram in dual channel. 2 x 8gb rams in dual channel is more preferable for gaming compared to a single channel 16gb ram stick.

Hey there good Sir :) the Crucial P5 1TB is a good choice, if you want a really fast SSD on a budget. If speed isn't that important to you, you can get a slighltly slower, but even cheaper alternative with the WD Blue SN550 1TB. Unless you're moving huge chunks of data all the time - you shouldn't worry too much about SSD-Speed though. Loading times in games and programs should be nearly identical with both suggested models.

I had a laptop that had thermal pads on the bottom of the ram chips so I'm assuming that the Acer aspire 7 does too and if it doesn't can I put a thermal pad there and will it mess up anything or improve anything.

Hey, that is one rare notebook you have there ;). I didn't have the chance to get my hands on it personally, but according to a (german) review you should be able to replace the system SSD as well as add another SSD: www.notebookcheck.com/Test-Acer-Aspire-R13-R7-371T-Notebook.137259.0.html They note that the base cover is a bith tough to open, so be careful and take your time if you want to attempt the upgrade. Also, there is no information about wether the second M.2 Slot is SATA only or also offers PCIe.

you can always replace an existing ssd that is not soldered. should be possible in any aspire 7 laptop.

Hello, this is a silly question? But, how much expansion of SSD can be done in this? And is there any option of adding another ssd, keeping the provided one inside? If not, can the ssd that is replaced not be used anyhow, (since it already is loaded with so much data)?

Sadly it has only one SSD slot so you have to swap the SSD with another one, and laptops can take upto 2TB of SSD's, its not written anywhere but it is the limit. And if you have any data stored on the loaded SSD you better move that into some HDD then again move it onto the new SSD if you will, but I'll suggest you buy a External Hard Drive which is quite helpful and pocket friendly

Yes. Mine came with 2x 4GB sticks. I took one out and replaced it with a 16GB stick giving me 20GB in total. Before anyone says you should use matched pairs, I can confirm you don't need matched pairs and never have. Your RAM configuration will now be 8GB of dual channel memory and 12 GB of single channel memory. Neither the motherboard or Windows cares, everything will work fine. At some point when I have more money I'll replace the other 4GB with another 16GB stick. HTH.

I did a quick Google and found this:- "In Windows 10 all systems no matter how they were activated (be it via Upgrade from Windows 7/8.1 or by using a bought Retail or an embedded BIOS aka MSDM license) will be converted to a Digital License which is based on the Hard Ware ID (HWID) of the respective machine. This License is stored at MS Servers and will activate this machine every time it's freshly installed. Only hardware changes will cause the License being invalidated. By binding it to a Microsoft Account (MSA) you will be able to transfer it in latter case. " I have no idea how to bind it to an MS account as I don't have one, but this should get you started in the right direction.

As long as the PC is powered off, you don't need to do anything else. There's no risk of powering the laptop if it is closed anyway. Removing a drive when a PC is powered on will simply "remove the access to Windows", and you'd have to power off the device, replug the drive correctly and restart the computer, there shouldn't be any specific issue beside loss of unsaved work, unfinished task etc.

Hey, there is no difference, but DDR4 is the common name, while the technical term would be something like PC4-2666-SDRAM. Just make sure to buy SO-DIMM modules.

The stick you added likely has a different timing than the existing stick, even if it is from the same manufacturer with the same clock speed. In order for the motherboard to run both sticks at the same timing, sometimes it has to drop the frequency for one of the RAM sticks. When upgrading RAM, it is recommended to buy a pair of identical sticks from the same batch from the same manufacturer to avoid getting newer modules with different timings.

Hi, maybe im a little late,cooling on this laptop is very bad, you play for like hour and then your game starts randomly laging and going from 60 to 3 fps - the sollution for this is to buy cooling pad which i bought. And yea, you can upgrade to win11 easily

I know it runs windows 11 easily but it so bugged that it causes constant bosd errors .The nvidia card drivers has a issue with this specific device so in my case reinstalled windows 10. Learned it the hard way
