hi rick, i have a nitro 5 AN515-55 1660ti i5-10300H ... the issue i am having is that my laptop struggles to boot up before the acer logo appears.. the keyboard lights up and fans start but then goes off and it repeats this until a minute or 2 passes and then it finally boots up to the log in screen (sometimes it turns on straight away, usually when i turn my laptop back on not long after using it beforehand) any idea what could be causing this/how to fix this? thanks!

Hi, on acer's site there is "1.improve system performance" and below that, there is "Update VBIOS" option. Which one I should download or should I download both of them? The "1.improve system information" 's zip name is "Bios Acer 1.15" while "Update VBIOS" zip name is "Bios Acer 1.13". So is "1.improve system performance" is the just new version of "Update VBIOS" or what?. If you know please respond, thank you.

Hey I've got a weird issue with my helios 300 (i7 10th gen, rtx 2060) and after going through tons of stuff for days now I still haven't found any solution. Now I've landed here, maybe you'll be able to help me out? This started about a month ago randomly. After turning on any game, i would get artifacts flickering on the screen for about 2-3 minutes and the game would crash. I've tried everything i could find on the internet with the drivers amd windows updates. After some experimenting on my own I've narrowed it down to an extent.... Any application which uses the discrete gpu crashes when the ac adapter is plugged in. They work absolutely fine wuthout it. If I disable the discrete gpu and use the integrated one, it works even with the adapter plugged in. The laptop also randomly gets bsod when it's idle with the adapter plugged in. Seems something wrong with the gpu. Can't figure out whether this is a hardware or a software thing? Have you ever come across something like this? Please tell me there is a solution. Would be greatly appreciated😭

i dont think a bios update would fix that, sounds like an issue with it swapping between the intel igpu and the nvidia gpu

Hello Rick, I think I have the same model with 11th gen, i7, 10870H(not sure entirely), GTX 1660Ti , my case was my battery worked fine till now, and i fully discharged it recently and then it even showed it fully charging it(with Normal charging time) but when I switched off my supply it suddenly showed battery running low and showed 0% on the battery (it’s only being 8 months also) but since acer care center didn’t show any updates I haven’t updated my Bios or drivers till now, can that be the reason behind it?

Is there a battery reset pin hole in this model? If not there were instructions saying remove all the cables connected and press the power button for 1 min and then keep it for another 15-30mins to fully discharge from the MB and then start it, is this good?

@@SamrudhVNayak bro I fixed it, it’s mainly because u haven’t updated ur BIOS, first remove the charger and let ur battery drain till ur machine off itself, actual case is the battery isn’t dead, when u keep it to drain without the charger, it will start showing the battery with 70% again(it’s a bug of acer care battery cycle limitation-this is fixed in the BIOS update), once the battery percentage shows up, immediately go to settings->windows update->search for the newest update and download and install it(make sure ur percentage is over 50% and plugged in) the update shown will mostly be the newest BIOS

My Acer Nitro 5 is not getting start from power button and when i starts after 15 to 20th attempt after performing any one task it shutdowns automatically. The power is working properly when we try to turn off but when i want to power it on it not respond. Also when i click the power button the charging indicator also blinks. Any solution please?

What Resolution and graphics settings? Check to see if you are set to performance mode, upgrade 3060 drivers, turn down graphics settings of Apex

No, the bios update isn't for your model Sounds like it's running on the igpu when connected to power

And i installed it... then it worked for mee fps increased to 40 fps.. switch off whisper mode and i changed the max fps in nvidia control pannel to 60... Then i got 60 fps for watchdogs 2 for the first timee😂😂😂... Its around 1 year that i have bought the lap.😂😂..for the first time gpu temp rises to 80😂😂.. thanks broo❤️❤️❤️❤️

From my experience new update is using more GPU sometimes GPU copy is 100% and in Forza Motrorsport game menu text was flickering for several times when playing earlyer today. Hi there! I have a brand new Nitro 5 An515-55 with GTX 1650, i5-10300H CPU @ 2.50GHz, 8GB Ram with 1TB HDD. Recently updated everything and did 2 clean fresh win 11 restarts with the latest Nvidia drivers. My issue is that is running clunky and I think it´s not supposed to be like that. It takes a couple of seconds to open some basic things as folders or running games it loses FPS and stutters a lot even taking the graphics all the way down. Do you have any advice? Just tried a lot of things found on the internet and nothing seems to work out.

До этого видюха 80° грелась, до прошивки, теперь 86° причём после полной профилактики, сделал всё как нужно. Сука поменял термопасту теперь только хуже стало, почему так кто знает?

I have the nitro 5 with the i5-11400H and RTX 3050ti 16 gig 3200 ram 1tb m.2 and I can run call of duty around 200 fps on medium graphics and the rest on high or ultra dlss on I get around 300+ fps on Fortnite on low settings and around 200+ on epic setting this system is very good I've watched a lot of reviews people are saying this laptop is mediocre at best they're showing games only be able to run 70 to 150 fps But every game I play destiny cod fortnite the divison2 Madden I'm getting 200+ on high or ultra setting
