I made this video for those who have the Acer Switch 10, so if you want to go back to Windows 8 follow these steps. Some tools are required but nothing out of the ordinary and found easily on google ( Hint : Look at the file names I left them as stock so you can search for them easier). Sorry I did not put in any links due to any legality issues, this way you can see the tools in action so you can see for yourself. Windows 8 is back on this unit after 1.5 years of Windows 10. So you are saying that we users of Acer Switch 10 should not upgrade or flash the Windows 10?

Yes that is exactly what I am saying. It is slower, has more issues, you can't really lock it down and it will only install the Win10 home edition ( due to the acer switch 10 being 32 bit on the install checks. Do not upgrade to Windows 10 or you will have to go through this bizarre setup to get Windows 8 back in there.

1.You need to disable secure boot first 2. You need a Win32 bootable environment 3. Once that bootable environment is running you attempt to install Windows 8 as a Windows 10 image on usb flash drive already has the necessary boot files for UEFI. Before proceeding secure boot must be disabled. Once that is disabled make sure USB boot is selected in the UEFI section.

www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/support-product/5547;-;SW5 "Operating System" choose Win 8.1 32 bit. These are for the windows 8.1 32 bit ( as that is the original OS with this device) The 204 Mb "Master Installer" has most of the drivers you need, the Wireless Lan driver is separate as you can see from the list there.

Please bro, After I pressed f12 and selected usb option, the laptop was turned on as last windows. I didn't know the reason

Once you setup the supervisor pass ( to then allow disabling the secure boot) watch the section on the UEFI bios again on the video, you then disable secure boot and choose f12 setup. If you don't setup the F12 boot option the installed Windows will be loaded even if you press f12 contiguously. In order for the USB boot flash drive to be seen it must have the EUFI32 bit folder modification as this system requires a 32 bit boot loader even though the CPU is indeed 64 bit. This is why people fail booting linux on these machines because they are using a 64bit UEFI boot loader, and fail with 64 bit Windows as well.

If you need to check the condition of that windows installation and you can’t boot from a USB flash drive you can try a USB CD-ROM drive and download and install Puppy Linux and burn that ISO with Imgburn ( free) to a blank CD-R ( do not use DVDR). See if you can set the bios to boot from that USB CD-ROM with puppy Linux inside it. You must disable secure boot first or you can’t boot much.

Jordi Barrera Yep but this video had to be full stock files as most people won’t want to download modified OS ISO’s. The Window 8 ISO was downloaded straight from Microsoft. The UEFI tool “WinPSE” was found on google. Thanks for watching!
