Ann, you would not have gotten that straight flush by holding 4,5,7 of clubs. U only got the 3 in the right spot. When you hit deal, the machine deals out 10 cards. And they are delt above your 5 cards. Watch a slot tech work on one it ya can, or call on and ask him to look at a previous hand (say you thought u held something). You will see what I'm talking about. I worked in casinos for 20+yrs, from AC to Tunica and PA

No, that's actually not how it works. IGT has put that rumor to rest many times over. You are not dealt 10. Only 5. Then hold what you want while the remaining are still shuffling til you hit draw and it fills in your non held spaces.

Believe it or not, Holding the inside straight in DDB (when dealt no pair or pay card card) is marginally the best play. It's slightly better than a 5 card redraw. Odds of hitting the inside straight are about 9%. Thanks again for watching and commenting! Steve
