Dude loved your reaction. I was 16 when this came out and had a similar s… eating grin like you. Now I realize it was the first time I experienced fusion in music. Such a blend of Latin and Rock. Go deep down this rabbit hole you won’t be disappointed.

This is good. I think you will also like the original, Fleetwood Mac with Peter Green. performing Black Magic Woman.

That is a little Carlos Santana for you, my dear. Incredible & genius guitar player. Check out his Soul Sacrifice at the original Woodstock. There are many others, as well. Oye Como Va & Smooth is a rather new one, however very well done. Keep enjoying!

What a great pick...there's so much great Santana music! You're in for a treat if you go down that rabbit hole. I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Check out "Samba Pa Ti" for some standout Carlos Santana guitar (it's an instrumental), or for a great lift-me-up check out "Everything is Coming Our Way." There's so much more to choose from though.

It is actually a cover of two different songs. Black magic woman from Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac which was rather a blues band at the time. And Gabor Szabo's "Gypsy Queen" - more into jazz.

Originally written and performed by Fleetwood Mac, their version had the emphasis on "Magic". The Santana version's emphasis is on "Black". Totally different interpretation, making it a totally different song. Try them doing the live version of "Soul Sacrifice" from Woodstock.

Not Jazz - Latin Rock he like to say. Saw their live performances 8 times live and everyone stellar. From his youth - Check out a song "Treat" or "Soul Sacrifice" from Live at the Fillmore 1968. In 1969 his Album called Santana check out the song "Evil Ways" and "Persuasion". Skip a couple year and check out these songs from 1977 Moonflower album "Black Magic Woman/Gypsy Queen" "Let the Children Play" or "I'll Be Waiting".. From his Santana III Abraxas albums "Everybody's Everything"; "Everything is Coming our Way" and "You Just Don't Care" .
