Reminds me of visiting my grandma as a kid in Idaho. Best trout fishing I've ever experienced there. Tasty too! Anyone who hasn't caught their own fish is in for a treat. It's not like the "fresh" fish at the store. My 2018 goal is catch n cook a Ling Cod.

Hey Ace I know this is and old video but I was noticing the way you gut your fish and if you went up the belly first to the gyles before cutting the head off and when you cut the head off not go through the esophagus you can get all the guts out with the head if this makes any sense hope this advice is well taken. if you don't wanna use a big portion of butter on your bread to toast it, you can spread a very thin layer of mayo on it and it toasts just like butter. this is a tip for anyone who reads this, even if you don't like mayo you can do this because you can't taste it at all, and i know this because when i was younger my mom would use it to make grilled cheese, but she wouldn't tell me she used it because she knew i didn't like mayo. i never even knew.
