Thank you, that's actually the exact video I needed to see. I kind of gave up on making games, the industry just progresses too fast, it's hard to keep up. I had a mental breakdown, got put in hospital, right now I'm just focusing on low stress fun activities like playing videogames, and watching youtube. But I would like to make one last big game before i decide what to do with the gaming career. I'll try to make some time for unreal. This is useful because it's not that it was a particularly difficult problem learning to make these npcs, it was just a task to get through and i was too lazy to do it, you managed to get everything built and running in about 5 minutes, very useful. I'll use this video as a reference.

Wow I'm sorry to hear that! And VERY glad you are back at it! Just remember that game development is very run down behind the scenes! For example I'm working on a links awakening type game, instead of having quests and complex NPC stuff, i'm just gonna force players to follow a route to do bosses that will drop something that allows them to get to the next area! haha, so no quests on mine for the most part, but will use the vendor stuff for sure!

Glad to hear it! ACF is AMAZING and definitely saves thousands of hours. It definitely has a learning curve but 100% worthwhile instead of making everything from scratch!

@@CodeWithRo it reminds me of rpg maker when i was a teenager. But it takes a lot longer to learn, i guess by their nature 3d games are a lot more difficult to design and a quick tool like rpg maker is probably not gonna happen with advanced 3d graphics. But I think when i've learned the system enough it will be a lot more useful.

Yeah I've worked in unity for a couple years and have used unreal the last couple years. I've used other assets that have similar systems just never took the time to learn this one and your videos are short and sweet so it's increased my interest in installing it for my next project
