I made Achacha tea a couple of weeks ago. I put the skins in cold water and put it in the fridge for a couple of days. It tasted really good. Didn't have any astringency.

The best tea I've had from my garden is lemongrass and holly basil and you can also put in ginger to make it better. Also mint tea but you have to chuck in a green tea bag and heaps of sugar, its very popular in north african and middle eastern culture.

Thanks for showing us how to make the tea...very easy. So you might be able to make lemon drop tea right?👍🏼

I assume so. I don't invent these things, I just read and see people talking about it so I give it ago and if I like it I share it. The lemon drop skin is more sweet but very thin, so you may need a lot of skins to extract some tea. I think I'll give it a go in a couple years when my tree bears more then 5 at a time :D

Also I saw in a previous video you did you got a black genoa and a brown turkey fig. Brown turkey is the worst tasting fig of all the figs it is purely a commercial fig because it doesn't go soft and syrupy as figs are meant to go, it stays hard and has almost no syrup so it lasts better for transport. Figs are like mulberries and once picked must be eaten soon after. You should replace it with a white adriatic fig it is one of the best and is a green flesh fig, daleys nursery sell them.

I didn't know that! Thank you. I've moved 1 to my parents farm, and it is fruiting now. The one I kept hasn't produced anything yet but I'll be sure to look out for it. I did notice when it did fruit that it wasn't as juicy as I remember fresh figs tasting. Thanks for the info :)

@@mytropicalfruitforestlife figs are one of those fruits if you tried one from the store you'd probably not think very much of it. But if you grew a non commercial variety and ate it, it would blow your mind.
