Three 18 year old from London came down to this beach on bicycles in 1973 - there was nothing here except ONE taverna on its own. We slept overnight on the porch. The owner, after a great meal, a young chap said "They will come." He was right!

Just before holidays abroad became popular. Amazing how things change so fast!

It has changed so much since I visited in the 80's). I remember one restaurant, the hotel on the beach and one bar (Billy's maybe it was called). I remember the loooong walk to Roda but the people are what I remember most. Beautiful people! I would love to visit again.

@@leighmcpherson461 there is arguments on both sides but personally I wouldn't go back, would find it depressing - there is lots of Greece off the beaten track but most of the coast accessible by motor is a concrete or slum sunbeds.
