By the way, outside of politics, and in life, that saying is very subjective, if you committed a crime 20 years ago, and no one saw you, and you think you can just live your life normally, it’s gonna come back to bite you in the ass, assuming you do not atone for whatever you’ve done already. I’ve seen it happen to dumbasses too many times, and I’m very very hesitant to do anything because of the fear of divine retribution. Karma is real. I think Bernie's main problem was that he caved into media pressure. Never stood up for himself, and people thought he was weak for not doing so. Rigged the elections (all the polls were saying he's going to lose and he will have to struggle in second round), fasten the Christmas to October, caused Venezuelan economy to go into 5-digit Y2Y inflation. There’s a guy in this comment section replying to every comment about Harris by calling them misinformation-spreading republicans, and i know they’re probably gonna call me one too despite the fact that I don’t care if America burns entirely, but here I go. To make it clear, Harris HAD a chance to go on Rogan’s show. Rogan not only spoke about it in an interview and some tweets, but I remember watching a podcast or video where he explained the whole situation and commented on how he thought the situation was weird- Joe Rogan actually did get in contact with the Harris Campaign after a few tries, and invited Harris. But the PR head in the Harris Campaign declined it, so he tried again later on but they said “Harris can go on your show under these conditions” and Rogan spoke about how it was a pretty long list of conditions and on top of that, they wanted Rogan to move his show to DC where the Harris campaign would have FULL control but Joe Rogan didn’t want that, he wanted to be laid back as he usually is and have the show in Austin as per usual because he didn’t want the PR to be controlling him and his questions and the topic. He explained how it felt kind of weird that they wanted to do all this. So he tweeted about how he still keeps the offer open. Joe Rogan tries AGAIN but this time, Harris is having a campaign not too far from Austin, from his headquarters, so Kamala could’ve driven down a few hours at most and they could’ve done the show right then & there, but for the final time the Harris campaign declined. He spoke about when he invited Trump over and how Trump and him spoke one-on-one BEFORE the show to make plans which is a huge difference from how he couldn’t even reach Kamala herself. He also spoke about how Trump was willing to go do the show and how he didn’t have any conditions. They planned it and did the show with no complications at all. This here explains the mindset of Kamala Harris throughout her campaign. The same happened with Joe Biden, where his campaign managers wouldn’t accept many interview offers and stuff unless the interviewers accepted the many conditions. The right, under Trump, has always been willing to have 1-on-1’s without needing to have conditions or control anything, but the left has for a long while now only accepted things under conditions one of which includes being able to control everything to a T. This ultimately led them to lose. I mean, during the final countdown, Harris barely made an appearance AND she & her campaign left the area hours before they finished counting the votes. I watched it as they announced Kamala leaving early. Trump on the other hand was with his campaign and with Rogan & Elon and others at his campaign dinner with photos to prove his attendance throughout the entire night.
@TheTSense16 күн бұрын
Harries was very open and someone proud about it. They had to tip the scales, cheat the system, get every advantage they could get. She made it clear, if there would be a tough question, she would get up and run out of the room. If someone doesn't bend over backwards to not insult her feelings, she wouldn't show up. This doesn't even work in Highschools, how can you trust such a person with anything? Imagine a 15-year-old is taking a test at school and just gets up and runs out of the room because they couldn't answer a question, but still wants a passing grade. Would you trust this kid with life-or-death decisions? How about hundreds of them?

This is probably one of the best analysis of American politics I’ve seen in a while. Thank you for showing the similarities between two candidates that may be on completely different sides of the political spectrum yet voters were drawn to their anti-establishment/anticorruption message. Not so fun fact: before there were Bernie Bros, we had Obama boys. Back in 2007 Hillary Clinton and her campaign saw Obama‘s rise in the polls and began to worry. They painted his supporters as sexist boys when in reality he had a diverse group of people. The tactic didn’t work back in 07, but when Bernie started his rise in the polls her Campaign started the same smear and unfortunately the media ran with it. They painted all of his supporters as racist, sexist, white men who were only supporting Bernie because they couldn’t find themselves voting for a woman. Even Gloria Steinem attacked the women that supported Bernie and said they were only supporting him to get dates with men. This is why Hillary Clinton lost. Her Campaign focused on identity politics, especially with her slogan “I’m with her“. She also took union and minority voters for granted, when not campaigning in Michigan and Wisconsin during the general election… But that’s a conversation for another day. Bernie Sanders had the most diverse group of voters supporting him, especially young/new voters.

people are as lefty/liberal as they can be when times are good, some go way further, sure, but Leftism in its current form, exists as a sort of luxury good, a cheesecake, or something decadent you can splurge on when times are good, all its issues are pie in the sky farces that never have any way to achieve them (so they can always be used as treadmilling people for them) Centrism, traditional liberalism, and conservativism is for maintaining the good times, or trying to bring them back, economically or otherwise, that's the snapback here, there's no luxury leeway anymore for basically anyone but the Upper Middle Class, who now make up the majority of leftists, who are flabberghasted they were dropped. but they are the only ones out indulging in these luxury beliefs.

Liberalism (the big government post modern kind) to me was never that luxury to me. It was downright Orwellian. Imagine being yapped about it n freedom while having your first and secondment amendments stepped on? I still remember during the Democratic debates when the host asked Burnie if he ever made derogatory statements about women and he said no, then the host immediately asked the bint how she felt about his derogatory statements. Then after the debate concluded they forgot to turn the microphones off and you could hear the gal chastising Burnie for implying she was a liar. 😂 He was their best candidate they've had in ages, but because he's not quite perfect by their standards, he had to go.

The minute an American political faction gets it in their heads that they can tell Americans who they can and cannot interact with, they’ve started their losing streak. To lead Americans, you must know Americans. And the first thing you must know about Americans is that they don’t like being told who they can and cannot interact with. Americans will tolerate being given orders, to an extent. The line is at social and to a slightly lesser extent, business interactions. Don’t mess with an Americans social life and their money.

You can be president for longer than 8 years if you took over as president from the VP slot. Served the rest of that term then get yourself elected twice in your own right. LBJ and Truman are examples but they decided not to run again for their own 2nd full term.
@bsowers2213 күн бұрын
Not entirely, 22nd Amendment says “No person shall be elected to hold the Office of President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term in which some other person was elected President, shall be elected to the office of the President more than once.” So if a VP steps up and serves longer than 2 years, they only get to run for reelection once. It didn’t apply to Truman because the Amendment wasn’t passed until 1947 and the rest of that first section basically said it wouldn’t apply to him. Truman could have had a full third term if he wanted. Kennedy was assassinated in 1963 and the next Presidential election was coming up in 1964 so it didn’t apply to LBJ either because it was less than 2 years left in Kennedy’s term. However, if LBJ would’ve taken over late ‘61 early to mid ‘62, he would’ve been barred from running in ‘68 because he would’ve served more than 2 years of Kennedy’s Presidency. Basically the most an elected person can serve as President is 10 years.

Bernie had a lot of people on his side because he was different than the establishment. He was willing to go back to the drawing board and not just fall in line. Bernie unfortunately has fallen in line, even though he seems to not be toeing the line since Trump’s win. When people’s everyday lives are difficult they don’t want the same thing that’s already not working. Telling the public that what they are experiencing is not reality, ie great economy, low crime. People start to distrust everything you say.
@derekrequiem435915 күн бұрын
Crime rates in the US have been plummeting since the 90s. Source: Pew Research Center Seems like the Ds have to do a better job at messaging what the actual statistics are.
@angelwings197914 күн бұрын
@ In comparison to the 90s the crime rates may have dropped but a large section of voters don’t have any memories of the 90s in general because they were either really young or not born yet. Violent crime has increased in the past few years. That’s what people are experiencing in the here and now. The Dems do have a messaging problem but it’s not the one you’re referring to. They kept lying to the voters faces, trying to pretend that crime was low or that the economy is booming, and that illegal immigration only has positive effects. People aren’t stupid and the Democrats didn’t catch on until too late that the MSM was no longer the public’s main source for information., ie they don’t control the narrative anymore. Also, telling people that we had it worse 30 years ago is never going to convince anyone that the rising crime they’re experiencing isn’t really that bad. It just makes you look out of touch with the majority of Americans.

It's not a real civil war. It's been blown out of proportion by the media and in reality it's more like a debate about a topic that we really ought to have a debate about. I'm glad to see it actually. The left is all super excited because they never debate anything. They have to agree with the party line or they get smeared as alt right. So naturally the disagreeable people are all MAGA now and they disagree with each other sometimes. Watch, in 2 weeks the left will forget all about it and be declaring that MAGA is a cult and that they just agree with whatever Trump says or they'll declare that Trump only wants yes-men around him instead of people who actually think for themselves.
