This was so insane to watch back in the day, the narrative was that Fedor was being fed to the wolves and Herring was going to kill him, and Fedor went to work and ended up going on an insane streak. Absolute animal in his prime. Fedor really is a case study in hip control, space taking, and explosive defense.

Fedor had to push and dominate throughout the whole fight - the best way to defeat CroCop as being pushed he started cycling back and couldn't unload his best weapons. Fedor was the greatest Heavyweight MMA fighter of all time. Then he lost to a sub-par Werdum. Because he admitted he didnt train because Werdum was beneath him. Prime Fedor was scary.
@bd4597Ай бұрын
you couldn be more correct sir. I am one of the biggest fans of fedor and yet i see that he lost his way after his marital problems and making that huge fiasco of a religious turn. Before all that - he was the best mma fighter ever in our human history and one thing is for sure - He may have lost his way later on but those glory days of his past make him the best ever forever. Werdum was like a son and always looked up to fedor as a hero - Fedor trained much less in his latter career and his training was even how he said in the past, that he beat all his opponents. He always outtrained them. His hands were messed up and he went to headhunting - he lost his strategy and whatnot but hey - he is the best ever.
@stevehumphrey667Ай бұрын
I think he was the best ever like you guys. Basically a 10+ year undefeated streak until Werdum, the cut he lost on shouldn't have been a loss. Werdum almost got him in a triangle choke and after getting out of those long, strong legs he stayed and let it happen again and lost. After so many wars he wasn't the same. Hendo got an easy KO, Mitrione, Bader twice and Silva ragdolled him. Shots to the head add up and he took Alot! But dished out more. The personal stuff surely played a roll but he was cashed out towards the end from all those wars he was in and won all of them. At his best, he was the best.
