Given how much they jammed out to the music in the game I think it's worth mentioning that the soundtrack is composed by Calum Bowen (Bo En), who also did the Snipperclips OST!!

It just sounds like Calum took a small clip of beats out of popular 90s/80s songs and looped them. Kind of like how Vanilla Ice did with Ice Ice Baby/Under Pressure but Calum just looped it indefinitely.

In the context that I used "loop" in I was referring to looping a particular sequence of notes, for a specific amount of time - e.g., a song repeats the same 4 chords during it's chorus but stops after it ends. However, that song loops those 4 chords for a definite amount of time, meaning, that the loop by definition is both definite and indefinite. So, while I say that the beats loops indefinitely, in the context of referring to music, a loop is both definite and indefinite. As such, we are simply arguing semantics, you are both wrong and right, as am I.

I remember looking up what that type of music was called after hearing it in games like Jet Set Radio/Jet Grind Radio, Sonic Rush, Earthbound, and a few other games. I honestly love that type of music! I think it's called Big Beat or Break Beat music. I also recall reading that it originated in Britain during the 90s, just a little interesting tidbit, I guess
