For real though, there needs to be an Oil Slick powerup in this game. Like, you can drop it behind you and it leaves a small trail of oil behind you for a bit. Anyone who goes through it just loses all traction for a bit. So, if you use it on a straightaway, it probably wouldn't work that well. But if you use it behind you on a turn, if someone hits it, they'll just slide straight into a wall.
