Very true! I was born and raised in Galway next to the shore. My parents would take me to all the remote places in Connemara, Aran islands, Achill island for walks as well as lots of other counties.It was only when I left Ireland with work that i realised how much I took for granted

HBN , if you get the chance go to Curracloe , the beach is amazing and at one end you have the forest at Raven point where you can look across to Wexford town . The videos on KZbin won’t do it any justice . Pack some food and a flask , it is awesome .

Been to Achill many times, that village alone is worth the trip. Agreed that it's as beautiful as any other Ireland coastal region with less than half the people. Don't forget there is also kayaking and surfing close by - and the town of Mulranny is a delight. Thanks for posting !

I'm just watching this as I'm sitting in a hollyday cottage in keel. Its as beautiful as he makes it out to bee, and even more when the sun it out, like right now. And, like I have to remind my family over and over, we might be in Ireland, but still put sin screen on, you'll need it.

So beautiful! We JUST returned from Ireland but didn't get to get north of the cliff of moher. This brought back memories of the scenic coastal roads we did get to drive through. The whole countryside is so pretty!!

keem bay is fantastic! we climped up the cliff to the western side, where the ruins of an old lost house, an old viewing point/spotting point from ww2, stand. the view was unbelievable, a spot for your heart. :) best greets from germany!

Ahh nice to see the places where i have been already. I live in Ireland i can definitely say that the county sides in these country is beyond expectation. Well said about the ships lol. It look like you have been there in winters or on cold cloudy day but the island looks out of this world when the sun is out and when its warm.

We have friends in Ireland so we visited a few times but we never knew about Achill Island (even tho the wind we remember quite well! :D). The free shuttle bus sounds like a great idea for when you want to drink and you can't drive home!

Been in Ireland last year for a couple days, but in the different place (Dublin). These spectacular views remain me Hawks walk. Guinness is good as well, I still remember a visit to its Museum in Dublin.

We did a part of the Wild Atlantic Way last year, but didn't make it to Achill Island. Definitely a reason to come back to Ireland. Your ttitle transitions are so cool! The guiness is great, but the Murpheys aren't bad either. Great great video!

Keel is where my 3 uncles were born .Sadly l passed away from a tractor accident. I uncle died 3 years ago aged 89years and his younger brother died 1year ago .All my 4 cousins still live here in Auchterarder .They are all married now with children of there own .The eldest is 70 years old the youngest is 60. now There are 3 boys @ 1 girl..GODBLESS them all. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

There are more sheep than humans on this island- applies to virtually the whole of Ireland XD Keel beach looked like a really peaceful place! I love Ireland! My girlfriend and I stayed in Sneem county Kerry for a whole year and we absolutely loved it! Another great video Ryan!

Journal of the nomads Not really ireland is mostly lowland dairy and beef farmland.The sheep are mostly kept in the uplands and blanket bog areas where most of the tourists go.Achill island has a human population of 2000 across 14000 hectares with a least a sheep per hectare probably 2 or 3 per hectare.

I love the look of the coastline! The castle looks pretty cool. I've always wanted to visit an old abandoned castle :) Your footage is so smooth. Is the camera handheld or on a gimbal?

Ella in Wanderlust I'd say it was about 50/50 handheld and gimbal. I have the Zhiyun Crane V2, which is great 😊

Great video, have been here many times. Unfortunately it's not a hidden gem anymore with the movie that came out recently ( banshees of inshreen) prices for accommodation has sky rocketed. Keem bay is on another level, one of the nicest beaches I've been to and the stop before looking out at the Atlantic ocean. You're not lying about the sheep, they are everywhere😂

Great video. Could all of this be done in 1 day? Planning a day trip to Achill in July and would love to visit these spots but I’m restricted to 1 day only
