Very useful information thank you! I am a teacher, how long is the average time off work? My boss is assuming I’ll be at work wearing my boot as long as she’s done a risk assessment which is worrying me! I have only just had my first cast on. I’m having my next appointment in 4 days.

do you have a link to buy the boot ?

Being from Canada and having gone through surgery myself last year, I find that NHS in UK leans heavily towards conservative treatment while in the US it's mostly operative. I don't think this debate will ever settle. Unfortunately, I did have some nerve injury as well from a very tight cast but since the sural nerve is sensory, not a big deal for me. What's most important is working with your physiotherapist to have a personalized plan that works for you. I came back to sport at about 8 months. Running and jumping. It does take time and is a humbling experience.

@ClinicalPhysio You're most welcome. Being the unlucky recipient of 2 major injuries in the same number of years, would you happen to have any content on ankle fractures? Currently on week 1 post op of a trimalleolar caused by extreme eversion in a game of ice hockey last week

Appreciate this video! I'm two full years removed from my initial rupture, and after extensive rehab, i still occasionally get this "popping" sensation that I've seen called "crepitus". What does this mean, in practical terms, for my recovery? Thanks!!
