I just want something that'll make me feel less pain my shoulders and neck (that whole area is basically one big knot), but that doesn't involve me interacting with another human being (I may have a tiny touch of agoraphobia). Then I heard "vertebral artery dissection" and eh... hashtag worth it? No? 😅

This was the assessment I received: - Closed nondisplaced fracture of medial malleolus of left tibia, initial encounter - Grade 2 ankle sprain Its barely been a week. The Orthopedic dr. said I have to wear the boot and crutches all the time except for showering. Do you still recommend following this and not taking the boot off at all?

Fantastic advice, although a little confusing with leg extension machine, I have read previous about being weary of using in isotonic excercises but have also seen the research paper to contradict this and it is fine to do as long as correct loading progression but if we say it is bad for the PT yet the Isometric hold on a leg extension machine is ok, but we have to get to the angle needed to hold thus an isotonic movement, does one contradict the other if we are saying isotonic leg extension are actually detrimental to healing a PT. Would it not be better to just go with single and double leg use in both isometric and isotonic on the inclined leg press machine. I am not a Physio more a running coach and runner who himself has niggles from time to time on one of my patella tendons. only really 3/10 pain but still can be frustrating but then I'm 53 so have to expect a few creaks I suppose....

Such a great video, thank you. I was trying to improve my hip internal rotation with this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/p6iagaKpd51nrLM A few days later my lateral hip was excruciating with the exact issue you are discussing. An orthopedic doc said he thinks it's coming from my hip joint as I have some degeneration. I've had it for years though. He said the pain can refer the lateral hip. I am not convinced at all. He wants me to get a coritisone shot. But I will not. I think he just wanted to find a dx. Is it possible the IHR exercises triggered it? I am doing the exercises you suggest, and It's doing better.

Every PT who has patients with back pain and pain down the leg MUST rule out SI joint dysfunction first and foremost. Upslip , outflare and sacral shear / torsion are the most common causes of these symptoms. Fix these and your patients will feel better

I'm watching this right before my ortho appt. I think I may have a strain in my knee. Last yr. have a meniscus tear, Baker's cyst, & Bone contusion & loose bodies. 6 mos ago I had a partial meniscectomy & loose body removal. It still hurts. Now 10 mos. later I have injured my other knee! It feels a bit different so I'm guessing maybe a ligament strain. LOL! Self-diagnosis. I can't believe 2 knee injuries in 10 mos. both happened in my garden. Thks for the video. I know my ortho will do this test as well as the McMurray one.

@@ClinicalPhysio You are so kind. It went very well, the x-ray show no broken bones, and no full cartilage loss,, no empty space, the ortho said he's seen 30's yr. old w/worse knees then mine. My ortho did the tests and said all the ligaments are intact and my knee is stable, he thinks there might have been a slight strain, but, nothing to worry about, but, since I am still in pain, he gave me a cortisone shot. Hope it works.
