Thank you Deven & Chris. You two are always positive and happy and bring so much passion to the hobby. Chris, your systems are amazing and it’s so kind of you to open your doors and share it all with us! I dub you the coolest reefer in the industry.

Cool video of a fantastic farm. Mr. Meckley certainly knows what he's doing. It's one beautiful collection after another. I also appreciate how outspoken he is abut his commercial methodology and pushing new techniques. I don't always agree with using them on my own hobby scale system, but that's usually either a lack of supporting data or the methods simply being to new and thus unproven. Regardless, ACI is a spectacular example of a successful coral farm.

At the very least it gets the wheels turning on scaled down versions for home system :)

@reefdudes did he say why he is no longer using ReefBrites?
@ReefDudes Жыл бұрын
He’s a fan of the halides and has cheap power

We only have room for the CoralCare and either the reefbrites or T5s on that system. We still dig the reefbrites but we’re adding T5s.

T5 owns.

With respect, you got to just show the entire experience of just underwater shots. It’s almost pointless to film the top of the water with light reflecting off the surface and pumps disturbing the surface of the water. There are so many coral channels who mess this up. The only person who had it down was Jake Adam’s.
@ReefDudes Жыл бұрын
I mixed some of that in where it lined up with what we were talking about

This was also not planned and we had a crowd at the farm. Deven next time you are down this way, make sure I know you are coming😁

Couldn't see anything with all thw flow on. And sounds like he lost most of his acros when they lost flow for a couple days... 🤦♂️

T5 and metal halide is against everything we should stand for in the reef keeping hobby. We should be advancing and saving electricity. All other farms use LED with no issue
@Fishfoo_ Жыл бұрын
That’s like saying everyone needs to have an electric vehicle… if something works and is proven to be effective, people can and will continue to use them
