I have studied in school of medicine, or university long ago that we get energy from glucose through Kreb's cycle & electrone transport chain. yet i have red in an american book, giving a short hint that we get energy through citric acid cycle. i know there are alternative ways to get energy like lipids, protien catabolism, or keto-acids in starvation..... however i have forgetten the biochemistry details. all i ask is is it an onother name for kreb's cycle, i mean the citric acid cycle ?
