I have no idea how you fit these lyrics so well!! It's so cool that the lyrics gradually went from acid metaphors to talking directly about Pearl and Marina's relationship. It's done so well that I could see these lyrics being official, if it weren't for the gibberish language. You truly have a knack for this, it's inkredible!!

Such "acidic" rhythm and rhyme, like "hues" of paint on a masterpeice, these lyrics are immaculate! Paired with an incredible song, too! Another awesome upload, definitely worth the wait. After all, the more time taken, the better the quality (that's how I see it anyways). Amazing job!! (Really liked the intentional inclusion of the extended part. It makes it so much cooler!)

Returning to this video, I can't believe I've never commented here, as this is one of my all-time favourites of your lyrics! The story you've told in this song is just so perfect both as an Off the Hook song and as a mirror to the story of Pearl and Marina's relationship. I love the development as the narrative continues and the support between the characters - all of the lyrics are brilliant, but my personal favourite lines are "No angels/No devils/Just someone like me" and "Shake it off/How can I?/Just look in my eyes" as well as how "Burning holes/Breaking roles" starts to shift the idea of Marina being dangerous away from how dangerous she thinks she is to Pearl, and starts to hint at how she'll change Inkopolis society. In summary, this is wonderful, I love this video and your lyrics, thank you for this classic banger!

This fits almost too well, especially the rap (which I struggled with when I had a go myself over a year ago), very fitting lore-wise too with the octolings being seen as a threat at first and Pearl opening up to Marina anyway. Also, fun coincidence, but I used "kaleidoscope" in the exact same place, I guess that's a canon lyric now (kind of)!
