It’s so tough with poison because a lot of enemies (and mainly bosses) are straight immune to poison.

Yeah a ton are, it totally sucks! For them I would prioritize acid

I forgot to talk about headwear! I used the coldbrim hat a lot, adds Encrusted with frost once a round when you poison or acid a dude. The diadem of synergy is also a good idea as it increases your physical damage a ton. Boots I was switching between the acid boots and the Stormy clamour. The acid boots really didn’t do much for me, I made tons of acid puddles but it was never a real problem, but reverberation is always helpful. I’d use those if someone else in your party isn’t

Speaking of acid, do you think Melf's First Staff might be a good starter "weapon" in Act 1?

Your synergy with the pact'd halberd and healing looks fun! I went into honour mode with plans for a similar thorn-blade caster build, with the end-game aspiration of abusing the virulent venom ring, the old staff of cherished necromancy and guaranteed crit mechanics. What my tav turned into, however, has been a 6 evocation wiz into 6 black draconic sorc though. Up to 4 casts of almost-unavoidable acid splash (that only shield-masters and evasion-users can dodge), with damage stacking from things like the potent robes, the elemental amulet and cull the weak... well, it's all felt insanely low-risk by the point it turned on in Act 2. Thank the gods for the green magics 🙏

This is super helpful! I just started tactician for my third run with a Githyanki sorcerer dude 🧙🏻‍♀️ I can’t wait to level up and take those rounds of warlock

For headslot: arcan diadem is better then u get your charisma modifier extra on top with your meele attacks over arcan synergie. And because u poisining, arcan synergie is always active.

There is Melf's staff that gives Melf's Acid Arrow, incase you need extra acid spell.

Thank you for this build idea! Something that came in my mind as i saw your video was the Drakethroat Glaive sold by roah moonglow in act 2 at moonrise. With this weapon you can turn any weapon into an elemental weapon. Also worth mentioning is the staff markokeshkir. With kereshkas favor : acid it lets you create noxious fumes when you deal acid damage with spells. But now i have to start a new run. Thanks.

It's a shame Sorcerers can't learn Melf's Acid Arrow, I wanted to do an Acid Durge but there is only Acid Splash. So i went for a Wizard instead but i don't get the Draconic Bloodline subclass. Maybe i'll multiclass but idk.

Alternatively, you could dual wield the djinni scimitars.. I know, not really intended to be obtainable, but very powerful poison weapons nonetheless.

They are v powerful, I thought about mentioning them but I steer away from them and the mace. Idk I pretend they don’t exist haha they just feel like cheating to me even though they’re totally in the game for you to use

Ive been playing a dark urge playthrough recently and ive noticed the slayer form is wayyyy too underpowered. Making a build exclusively for the urge's slayer form would be hype if you dont mind.

Cool build idea! Wanted to see if there was alot of synergy and BG3 really does have some amazing buildcrafting options. I will say tho the Handmaiden's Mace in Act 3 is basically the Club of Hill Giant Strength but with the added benefit of an extra 1d6 poison damage. Might be worth if you didn't wanna go Polearm master for your feat in this build 🤙

Reeeally fun build, definitely going to use! Also remember "Reactionary" is a political term that doesn't mean what you meant, you'd wanna say reactive or reaction-based attack
