the cool thing about this game for me is the atmosphere. basically the characters are brought to purgatory and they fight to prevail on eachother; that's why you face paradise (Athena) and inferno (Red Arremer) bosses. Even the music is strange on purpose. Overall the game is supposed to look dark and coarse. i think people didn't like that much cause they expected something more above the lines of capcom cheerful and colorful games. The only thing I agree with is the fact that the cast is really small for a cross-over game and the bosses are lame...

Remember owning this game on PS2. Was CRAP compared to CapCom vs SNK 2, and no, I'm not biased. I owned most of the King of Fighters games during the 90's/early 2000's and this game felt rushed and slapped together. Felt mediocre at best.

Luke Cimino SNK vs Capcom was exclusive to the original Xbox. It never was ported to the PS2 or GameCube where Capcom vs SNK 2 were on all three consoles. This game looks so bad ass. I would've loved to play this on the PlayStation 2.

you're kidding me -Guile had a 1 second charge and an infinite as a result. -Chun Li might have been the best normal character in the game because her jump B was awesome and her FADC f,d,d\f+B was ungodly. -Zero had a juggle infinite and he was the best character in the game barring Geese Howard. -Demitri had a safe sweep and a spammable uppercut that almost nullified FADC. -Akuma's air fireball alone made him a nightmare. Outside of Mr. Karate and Geese, no one is a threat on SNK side.

They would first have to get a license agreement with Capcom because they would be using half of their cast to cash in on the download for the game. It's the same issue with Capcom wanting to make Capcom vs SNK 2 for download. They would have to contact SNK Playmore for an agreement somewhere but Capcom stated that's not a game they can "waste time on now"... too bad..

I damn love this game! First I think the game is bad cause the characters are not balance. But then when I played SVC Chaos over and over, I think this is a good games. Not about the characters or balance gameplay, but about the atmosphere here, so dark, so gloomy, so chaos. And I love doing exceed move especially my favorite fighter, Mr. Karate. But then, I love all SVC character. I love redrawn sprite for Capcom characters too. Too bad they left SNK's and Capcom's unique characters like Nakoruru and Morrigan. The game feel more like KOF Vs. Street Fighter but it's all okay for me now. For Capcom side, I think there are to much 'shadaloo' characters. They can swipe Balrog with Dudley (since I love this British boxer), swipe M. Bison with another female fighter (I suggest Morrigan or Felicia) then make him a secret character like Geese. For SNK side, Choi is bad choice, they could change him with better character like Tizoc from Garou Mark of the Wolves (hell yeah I love that Mexican werstler). Love your video afterall. :)

All SVC Games? There's only 1 on arcade and one on neogeo pocket. I have the opposite thinking. As much as I love the game, I know it's more disliked then liked. But it's not that easy for Capcom or SNK to port their cross over games. Heck, even CVS2 is more liked and Capcom themselves said it's too much work to go through to port it.

To be fair to SNK, this was made to finish their contract with Capcom (for each of them to make two fighting games with each others characters in it) when the Neo Geo was on its last legs. It was more of a "hey we're back, bet we need to finish this contract first" game then anything. NeoGeo Battle Coliseum improved pretty much everything, expect it didn't have any Capcom characters.
