There's 2 guard cancel dashes. (Forward, Forward uses less meter but harder to pull off) or use B+C (weak kick and strong punch) uses more meter but easier.

Oh man, this game has some of the worst cases of SNK boss syndrome ever. They had it at a bowling alley I used to go to. They had set the difficulty level to ridiculous. Orochi Iori was beatable. Violent Ken was worse than fighting SF Alpha 2's Akuma. Serious Mr. Karate was just impossible; like, "fuck it I quit", impossible. I didn't even know about the Firebrand or Athena boss path until much later by reading about it online because my friends and I never got it or anyone else that played it that I saw.

Goenitz was a pain in the ass. I felt like he was worse in this game than in KOF '96. Literally would spam projectile attacks at any range so rush downs were near impossible to pull off against him

SNK knew how to treat charge characters. SVC Chaos gave us the best Guile, Sagat, and Demitri sprites along with every well done Capcom characters.

I'm glad that Jwong the GOAT made a video for this very underrated game. This game has one of the alltime best variations of Chun li, Guile,Demitri,and Terry. And it has the alltime best version of Geese Howard other than his Real Bout Fatal Fury Special variation imo. The version of Athena they put in this game is awful though. Shes definitely the worst boss character in the game. But overall the game is good. It's different, it's unique, it's broken,and it's criminally underrated and underappreciated. I know Capcom vs SNK2 is the best. I know Capcom vs Snk1 pro was good. But I also know that SVC chaos is also good. All 3 Capcom vs Snk games are good and worth playing. Every single great 2D fighting game has some broken character or some other broken stuff in it. Svc chaos isn't a bad game just because of broken characters. It's still fun to play. I never understood how alot of players really love Roll Canceling in CVS2 but don't love Guard Cancel Front Step in Svc Chaos? I hope the GOAT continues to play this game and show the whole FGC that SVC chaos is not as bad as people think.

@theobserver4214 I agree. I'm not saying that SVC chaos is better than cvs1 or cvs2,I'm just saying it's worth playing. I'm saying it doesn't suck because of the broken stuff. Or maybe I'm just biased cause I've been playing the game for over a decade and because the game has my 3rd favorite versionof Chun li on it. But to each his own. I like all 3 Capcom vs snk games and I'm cool with knowing that I'm one of few people on earth who actually likes SVC chaos and knows how to play it.

I just noticed this game on Steam when I was searching through the store earlier today before the time you uploaded this video. I was wondering if you were gonna check it out. This sure was a big surprise! I think I once played this game at a local arcade for just a little bit and played a 2-player match or 2 back in 2012. After seeing this, I think I might give this a try. I certainly hope Capcom vs. SNK 2 gets released like this as well.

Back when this came out and internet wasnt much of a thing me and my friend created this rumor that there is a SUPER XCEED move that you can only do once a week. other players in our community kept researching about it and it was funny. I just told them I saw one player not from our local do it, so it means it cannot be done for a week.

One of the game's highlights, among all the problems. But unfortunately Capcom wasnt interested in assimilating this idea into the main series, like putting him together with Evil Ryu. There was only his appearance in USF2 and nothing else.

when i first played that game on nintendo switch, it's really difficult to control the character and it's too fast to fight anyone from local to online play... i like the fact that only one country (Mexico) who also hypes over that game is really promising even more just like Terry Bogard in Super Smash Bros Ultimate it's so nice to see that game back on console (R.I.P Xbox)

I haven't seen anyone make use of the meter's combo system. When you hit LVL 2 or Max you can dash cancel any of your normal/special moves on hit.

This game desperately needs a fan sequel. Fans need to import the Neo Geo Battle Coliseum roster to the SNK side, and fans have made Capcom characters in the svc chaos sprites.. ive seen people have made Strider Hiryu, Sakura, and more in the snk style. This game's programming is so simple, I know fans can achieve a legit sequel

Can anyone explain the release of this because I had Capcom vs SNK on Dreamcast and the millennium edition on Xbox but that seemed to have better graphics and more characters. But from what I can see this came out later?

This indeed came out after both CvS games, but it was rushed and made during difficult times for SNK, they were going bankrupt, so it didn’t get the budget and polish that it was supposed to.

Also worth noting that the Neo Geo was made in 1990, this was released in 2003. Meanwhile, Capcom vs SNK ran on Sega's NAOMI, released in 1998. So even though this IS technically a "newer" game, it was handicapped by having to run on hardware that was already over a decade old by the time it was made
