I wonder how many people understand the stock charge pipe is just fine on stock turbo setups. They don't fail like the N55 because the turbo and intake manifold are both connected to the engine on the B58 so there's minimal if any flex in the pipe.

I think majority of people now know and it's simply a cheap mod (for the most part) that ads to the engine looks as well. If anyone is changing out the charge pipe on their B58 or S58 because it might fail they obviously are new to these platforms.

@@gogz1981 Correct. Higher boost, flex fuel or bigger turbo is a good reason to change out the charge pipe. Stock won't give you any advantages

Very tasty build! I love that everything is moderate and functionnal. Burbles aren't ridiculous, exhaust isn't raspy and disgustingly loud, springs are low enough to look great without having to limit where you can go. Aesthetics are also moderate and tasteful. Great job really!

I am looking at a 440i with a cts turbo with cts intercooler and charge pipe, it also has an exhaust is it reliable that’s the biggest thing. How long will the car last, I don’t know exact hp but I assume pushing 500 cause we did 80-120 in about 3-4 seconds is what it felt like

I recently bought the AA Catted Downpipe as I'm not looking at getting a tune just yet (I've still got years of Warranty left)..... If you are going to get a tune anyway, get a cheap Catted Downpipe as they can turn off the CEL when it gets tuned. Best Wishes, Don, Perth, W.Australia (Dons Shed and Xplor Overland)

@@NickB58my M340i is all stock with a AA catted downpipe. Brought it to a BMW dealership for maintenance and warranty work and either they didn’t know it had aftermarket dp or they just didn’t care. Also no CEL, the did ask tho if i had any upgraded software as they has to reset it to factory after doing the warranty work.
