About Subnautica:
Subnautica is an open world survival game in development by Unknown Worlds Entertainment.
Subnautica allows the player to explore an aquatic alien planet by scuba diving and traveling in ,
while collecting resources and food to survive. It was released on Steam Early Access on December 16, 2014.
The Xbox release was in August 2016.
The player controls in first-person view the lone survivor of a crashed ship on an aquatic planet.
The main objective of the player is to explore the open world environment and survive the dangers of the planet, while also continuing the story.
Subnautica allows the player to collect resources, construct tools, bases, and submersibles, and interact with the planet's wildlife.
Players must keep themselves adequately hydrated and fed, and must also maintain their oxygen supply while traversing underwater.
The game also includes a day and night cycle.
Subnautica was first announced by Unknown Worlds Entertainment on December 17, 2013, with Charlie Cleveland as the game director and lead gameplay programmer,
and Hugh Jeremy as the producer.
The development team opted to use the Unity engine rather than Spark, the engine used for the company's previous game,
Natural Selection 2. Subnautica producer Hugh Jeremy justified this decision because of the different demands that the game places on the engine,
and "because [the team] does not include people working on Spark, it's not appropriate for Subnautica to use Spark. By using Unity for Subnautica,
Spark can continue to develop in certain directions, while Subnautica develops in others. To use Spark for Subnautica would be to try and square peg a round hole."
The development team also opted against the inclusion of lethal weapons in the game. Charlie Cleveland, the game's director,
described Subnautica as "one vote towards a world with less guns," and had felt inspired by real life gun violence,
including the Sandy Hook shooting, to encourage players to think about "non-violent and more creative solutions to solve our problems."
Subnautica was released on Steam Early Access on December 16, 2014.
Subnautica was originally planned to be released on Xbox One on April 1, 2016, but was ultimately delayed by another month.
Full V1.0 release was on January 23, 2018.

The noises behind the cliffs: I’m just theorizing that’s because it was a glitch it was all sorts of audio clips taken from the games files that were possibly reversed and or distorted to make strange noises

Reaper can just swim in to sand,reaper's guiding AI will stop it from run it to Terran, but reaper can actually run in to Terran (only rock, sand, alien buildings, because other stuff are counted as a separate thing just like a fish or player or buildings), reaper will still run through Terran when it got no way to go or it can only get out by glitchly turn are round(game don't want you see it glitch, even run through Terran is better than do some weird turning things)

Wish they didn't remove the "hell hole" it's a logical reason why those dragons were able to get reapers down the lava zone. I want to suggest that they should create a strong current that keeps the user from going down there and can only be accessed via prawn suit.

Honestly I think those sounds were just the replacements of the dead zone now. I remember Jacksepticeye wandering around the map in early access and hearing that. I believe it was just supposed to make you so terrified you’d turn back, which is also the point of the cliffs. It was probably the end of the map.

My best guess for the cliffs and noises is there might of originally been a plan for a final boss like a Kraken or Cthulhu type creature, but they never got far enough to add the creature before realizing that they should go down the path we know today, it just took them a while to remove the cliffs and noises

The cliff sounds were playing glitched versions of a few in-game samples: the seamoth engine sound, the old seaglide propellor sound, and the old gun siren (never implemented)

I don't know if anyone commented this yet, but the twisty bridges were actually in the first steam early access build. Sadly in the next update, a huge square block of sand and rock covered it. And next update, it was completely removed and replaced with just sand dunes. Then replaced a couple updates later with the underwater islands biome. But they're back in below zero!! :D

Skillz2Play While it is cool, it's just too game breaking and buggy. It also just removes some immersion of being trapped on the alien world, as the terraformer just allows you to do whatever tf you want like trapping creatures etc. It just also just let you cheat the system in ways like digging tunnels to places to avoid danger etc. It was a cool concept though

You could go into the precursor cache with the gravity wall so you would be walking and then dig around to portal so you could walk underwater

I think i know what one of the reasons is that they removed it: i would dig out every single base the precursors have, and i would dig out all of the power cables. But yea, its really sad that they removed it. I usually cheat it in, not for massive terraforming, just for small things. Like if you base doesnt fit in a part where you want it (it can block the build option) than i just carve a bit into the wall or floor so i can make it fit in nicely. Im not going to dig out massive tunnels. Atleast not untill i finish the story (rocket included).

The mineral finder is a hand held tool in below zero and it also finds fragments so it's kind of like the seamoth one he mentioned

The Hell Hole is still in the game. I stumbled upon it accidently when trying to get out of the Inactive Lava Zone. I found a way out which lead to an opening in the Lost River, being circled by a Ghost Leviathan. Continuing to go up, I spotted two Reaper skeletons and eventually exited a hole close to the Bulb Zone. It's now my preferred way to get to the Lava Zone. It's better than trying to take the Cyclops through a blood kelp zone, which is just a pain.

What with the centrifuge and transfuser? You can spawn them in game, but they don't work... (Centrifuge- spawn centrifuge it will stay there were you spawned it and it can't be deleted Transfuser- item transfuser it has model, animations but you can't do anything with it)

There is a way to recreate the powerglide, you need a habitat, and a prop cannon. How you do it is you fire anything at the base with prop cannon to make it leak. Then, head in while it is flooding. Hold out your seaglide, and once the base is flooded, head out.

The sounds sound like the portals, when you walk into the main containment base (sea emperor prison), and when the ion cube stack in being brought down for the prawn or when tue ion cubes are being created. Maybe it’s even when the ion cube gets accepted for the portal. Anyways what I’m getting at here is that it is for sure something from a base, or precursor related (portal, base, warper, ETC.)

As someone who got his seamoth AND his cyclops before his seaglide I think it would have been REALLY stinking helpful to detect where the fragments are in a crash site. Personally I don't find that mechanic cool I find it MANDATORY! I sometimes genuinely simply can not find the fragments I am supposed to find. This is especially difficult early game with a limited air supply and the constant need to resurface losing track of where on the seafloor you have searched.

7:50 That powerglide thing actually still happens to me. Idk if it's a glitch or what but randomly I'll pull out my seaglide and I would notice that I'm going stupidly fast. And then after I pull it out like 3 more times and it would be back at normal speed.

Saw a speedrun video today that exploited a supercharged seaglide glitch. They said it was the game getting confused between seaglide and walking speeds. But the dropped speedier seaglide mode kicking in makes more sense. In the video they were able to outrun all creatures in the game and sometimes clip through terrain. Which is why they may have removed it from the final game.

I remember when Subnautica's ending was getting to the Lava Castle in the Lava biome (now has precursor base inside it). You have to get there and it would serve as the end game, cause you "found" what was being kept there as prisoner. It was replaced by the Sea Dragon Emperor holding facility i think

Maybe the weird sounds when you were at the edge of the map and there was Islands was a big creature making those sounds and the sounds in the void is a different creature making a sound so that means there are 6 Leviathan classes alive

The best one you forgot was the ability to craft a nuclear power generator on the outside of your cyclops, making it run for hours off just a few uranium. It was a bug from early beta, i'm sad that it got removed.

I’m pretty sure though a cliffs are actually the beta or testing zones for the prison, thermal plant and the thing that shot down sunbeam ( I forgot what it’s called) because the sounds kind of sound similar to those and maybe those were earlier sounds being tested.

on the bit where you went out far from the map you would hear strange noises apparently there is a new leviathan added to the sub zero pack called the ventagarden and it has a big clear head with things inside of it and has huge legs and a beak in between so i think it is that being first made
