It's a rare day I don't listen to Luke Bell, he was so talented and he is missed. Thank you for the tribute and keeping his legacy alive.

Bless you Mr. Harris for such a heartfelt, authentic, and honorable rendition of that fine example of Luke's music: American Music.

His voice is incredibly missed. I wish I could tell him how much his music has pulled me out of my own darkness and saved my life, this song in particular. It's a 'theme song' of mine. Much live to his friends and family.

Heartfelt tribute. Luke has touched me in ways that I can’t really even understand, and I never even heard his music until the days after he died. RIP Luke

I never heard him until his passin either. When they found him. Awful. And up until now, this is a first I heard that he took his life intentionally… that’s even more a gut twist.

I knew Luke as well as anyone and a lot better than most. He died from serious mental problems. He was doing drugs that had fentanyl in it and it killed him... There is a difference. A movie is being made about him. Go to Rhino Luke Bell for more information... He celebrated his last birthday with my wife and I and some other friends. His birthday will be this Saturday 27th, he would have been 34... Sure miss him . God Bless and Happy Trails .Mike...

This is what happens when you pull the lyrics of stupid website instead of listening to the actual song by the man himself. Luke clearly says bravest bullfighter not greatest.

It was one mistake

I sang it that way on purpose. Luke was one of my best friends and spent his first many months in Nashville living on my couch, and many years after on my carpentry crew. Get your shitty attitude and comments off the Internet and realize there’s people behind the music you consume, with real hearts and thoughts and purpose and intent. I didn’t read the lyrics from a website, I heard them over time as they were written in my living room. You owe me an apology and need to check yourself.

He sings it with the feeling it merits. The words are less important that the song.

You sing it next time. See how you do. People with no talent always want to talk about how things should be, but never do anything.
