Well I just think a boat that big and heavy needs more power so the engines don't have to work so hard as those ones probly have. The 47 is a great boat though. Speaking of more power, my Swedish friend has a 47 pleasure boat with trip 1350s. He gets on plane very quickly and runs 125+. Not enough power should be at least 1350/1550 engines or 1650s.

I know a guy overseas who owns a 47Fountain with trip 1350s. He says he's had the boat at 130 with more testing this Spring.
