That was time when life pull me so hard from my dance. Dancing from 1979 when my mom use to send me for vacation to the Bronx and when I was back in Puerto Rico to school time I use to bring home the latest moves I learned that summer and mix then with my own. That was the time when the clubs stop wanting us dancing our moves on the floor, that was the time when crack took hold on most of us..I was bless that God gave me enough strength to pull thru that time 1990+s.. responsibilities, kids, work bills no time to do my windmills. But to this day hip hop stay in me becuse I'm hip hop and hip hop is me.no matter what time do to pull me away still in me.....I still sometimes show my kids and grandkids what this soon old men used to do on the streets. That's the time that everything just froze in me.

I was a fan of RSC since '83 and remember this track/video from when I saw it on tv not long after it came out. Someone had asked for the lyrics and the sole reply was pitiful so I made an effort to get this as close to perfect as possible, though there's a few lines that have words that I'm not sure about (#15, 16, 23, 24, 41). If you have any correction suggestions, let me know! 1 00:47 Thinking about the days, I like to reminisce 2 00:49 Thoughts in my mind that I can't dismiss 3 00:51 When I discussed it with my boys, they all said 'DITTO!' 4 00:54 Proud to be a 'Rican, born & raised in the ghetto 5 00:56 Going through the hard times, that we always stood together 6 00:58 Blacks, Puerto Ricans, like birds to a feather 7 01:00 Going to the same dance was like a state of bliss 8 01:02 Whether you're Black or Brown, I always pump ma fist 9 01:05 Shoulder to shoulder, dancing to the same funky beats 10 01:07 Beats that will make ya want to sweep your body, throw your feet together 11 01:10 We invented a brand new dance 12 01:11 We had moves that would put the party people in a trance 13 01:14 Rappers rapping, the DJs are scratching 14 01:16 To the funky beat, the crowd is pointing with their hands clapping 15 01:18 Handball court, for once plain damn white 16 01:20 Transformer took a beat, he gather all the gogo now 17 01:22 And so we lose the battle, put the foot to the metal 18 01:25 And ZOOM... landed in America's living room! 19 01:27 What was once considered vile & unclean 20 01:29 Could now be seen on everyone's tv screen 21 01:31 'Cos it's a ghetto thing with the ghetto swing 22 01:33 If you can't swing nor sing, then just cling to what the ghetto brings 23 01:36 Exploitation gave birth to the clones 24 01:38 Time to kill the Elvis and Vanilla Ice - and... I don't remember! 25 01:40 Black is Black, Black is sweet, Black is beautiful 26 01:43 Don't forget Puerto Ricans or the struggle that we fought for you 27 01:45 And we still fightin' 'til this damn time 28 01:47 And I continue my struggle when I finish my rhyme 29 01:49 I'm a product of a culture they call HIP-HOP 30 01:51 When they gotta like that YA DON'T STOP 31 01:53 Until the... hip-hop ya don't stop 32 01:55 Until the... hip-hop ya don't stop 33 01:58 Until the... hip-hop ya don't stop 34 02:00 Oh come on, hip-hop, and ya don't stop 35 02:02 Until the... hip-hop ya don't stop 36 02:04 Until the... hip-hop ya don't stop 37 02:06 Until the... hip-hop ya don't stop 38 02:09 Oh come on, hip-hop, and ya don't stop 39 02:11 It wasn't too long when I first heard this rhyme: 40 02:13 "A child is born with no state of mind"... 41 02:15 It stuck in my head, I'm like "Fool, it's there every place" 42 02:18 Brain cells, I lost them when I used to smoke dust 43 02:20 'Till this day, I remain grateful 44 02:22 All those rhymes that made a break through 45 02:24 Taught me things I thought I never knew 46 02:27 Respect me and I'll never hate you 47 02:29 Help me see clear when I was blind 48 02:31 Taught me the truth they too hard to find 49 02:33 And when I lost my love once through hard times 50 02:35 I wiped my tears off with these rhymes 51 02:37 There's no more 'fessing and depression 52 02:40 'Cos rap music is refreshing 53 02:42 It's a blessing in disguise 54 02:44 From The Almighty, he's our guide 55 02:46 Now no one can hide from rap music 56 02:49 Don't abuse it, just plain use it 57 02:51 And it'll take you straight up to the very tip top 58 02:53 'Cos when you hear HIP-HOP, ya won't stop 59 02:55 Until the... hip-hop and ya don't stop 60 02:57 Until the... hip-hop ya don't stop 61 02:59 Until the... hip-hop ya don't stop 62 03:02 Oh come on, hip-hop, and ya don't stop 63 03:04 Until the... hip-hop ya don't stop 64 03:06 Until the... hip-hop ya don't stop 65 03:08 Until the... hip-hop ya don't stop 66 03:10 Oh come on, hip-hop, and ya don't stop 67 03:13 Yeah...

What really happened how we're they killed
@39Hundred5 жыл бұрын
pit man This is a RUMOR. Only Crazy Legs and the people involved know the true story. In the late 1980s, B-Boying/Breakin died out in America. Groups such as the Rock Steady Crew and NYC Breakers were no longer touring/appearing in movies and videos, etc. so they weren’t making money anymore. The crack epidemic hit America in the mid to late 80s. Buck 4 has a brother named “Flex” who became a BIG TIME drug dealer in New York. Crazy Legs and Buck 4 worked for Flex. Flex made a lot of enemies. His enemies tracked down Buck 4 and tortured him before shooting him to death. It’s rumored they even cut off his penis. Flex wanted revenge and for some reason thought Kuriaki was somehow involved. People that knew Kuriaki said that he was never the violent type and avoided trouble. Flex asked Crazy Legs where Kuriaki lived. Crazy Legs SUPPOSEDLY gave Flex Kuriaki’s address. I don’t know if Crazy Legs thought Kuriaki had something to do with Buck 4’s death OR he gave Flex the address out of fear. Flex sent some thugs to Kuriaki’s home in Mount Vernon, New York and shot Kuriaki to death in front of his girlfriend and 2 young sons. Crazy Legs did a tribute show to Buck 4 but didn’t pay tribute to Kuriaki. In 1992, Crazy Legs appeared in a music video, Breakin with other B-Boys and paid tribute to Buck 4 by wearing a t-shirt with Buck’s face on it. Again, no mention of Kuriaki. Crazy Legs acts as if Kuriaki never existed. I don’t know if it’s guilt or hate. He refuses to go into details about their deaths. Sad.
