Because benzoyl peroxide can oxidize vitamin c.its safer to use on opposite sides of your skincare routine. Use one at night and the other in the morning

@@jaboujobarteh6364 niacinamide is a wonderful ingredient that supports the skin barrier but some formulations can really irritate an already sensitive skin, that was my experience with the ordinary niacinamide 10% and zinc 1%. However when I tried the niacinamide serum by good molecules I didn't get the same irritation. Hope it helps

You could add adapalene every other night to encourage fading of your dark marks and to prevent new acne as well. Use a moisturizer after the benzoyl peroxide and adapalene

You are probably experiencing some irritation. Can you cut back on the use of both ingredients and give your face time to heal. Then gradually introduce one before the other to see which is causing the irritation. You could do a Patch test as well before starting.

Can you tell for sure what you are reacting to? Ok try stopping the glycolic and see how that goes. Protecting your skin barrier when treating your skin concerns is very important. Avoid adding any new product or treatment right now. Just allow the irritation to calm down

@@DrJanet I use a lavender cleanser, then I treat with BP5% moisturize with nivea ,apply sunscreen. That's it

@@thenursedee ok a couple of things could be responsible. Either u are having an adverse reaction to the BP or your other skincare products are clogging your skin. If you are acne prone you should use a moisturizer that is oil free and gel based(lightweight) likewise the sunscreens. In the meantime hold off on the BP, discontinue the lavender cleanser too as essential oils can worsen an irritated skin. Get a simple cleanser like the cerave foaming cleanser for normal skin Cerave products contain ingredients to help heal your skin barrier.or the cerave acne wash which contains BP 4%this may be better tolerated by your skin since it’s a rinse off product. Then follow up with an oil free moisturizer. It may take a while but your skin barrier will gradually heal itself
