Good information.👊 I am certain there is an application for an ACOG, but it is not one I have a need for.🤷♂ For most of my needs, a red dot and a 3x magnifier is my typical rifle setup for less than 300 yds. I do have one holographic sight to use with thermal, but so far it is the only one. If I am shooting beyond 300 yards, I will be shooting a bolt gun with a traditional scope.🤷♂

good info as always brother, running a reddot mag combo rn with a fiochi adjustable magnifier so ican do 1.5-5x wtih the reddot 90% of the time i run just the reddot as most of my shots are usually less than 150yd but i have stretched this combo out as far as 350 with shit ammo like wolf pulling 1 moa had a romeo also ran a sightmark for a while and now the monstrum sights have been pretty sweet, only downside if you run the variable magnifier the eye relief changes on magnifier when you adjust but that setup for example with a romeo is one of the cheapest reliable-ish setups that i have ran for decent reliable accuracy around 100-400y on my 556 ar of course, if im running 308 or anything that does that much range i want a very capable scope not just sights imo.

I have the Feyochi 1-5 magnifier with red dot combo incomming. I'm looking forward to testing that out.

You can run a red dot at the 12 o'clock for QCB on the ACOG

I feel that that just adds more weight and a snag hazard. I have it on my 5 to 25 scope, but in that case 1x red dot is adding a capability that is vastly different. I don't like the idea of adding a red dot to what is already a low-power 3.5x . The Red Dot with the removable 3x magnifier makes a lot more sense to me.
