Finally an out of the box factory rifle that competently adresses 95% of the "common gripes" that most of us have had for decades, as in getting a new duty ready carbine thats good,..but after a few hundred rounds, you find those few small details that you wished that they would have thought out a bit better, so you have to chase down aftermarket "bandaids" or actual gunsmithing help to try to acheive what you really want. That mark1 just needs a good can, a barrier stop, optics to suit and a sling and youll be ready like freddy. That mark one is gonna be a MUST HAVE. Great job guys

You guys are above and beyond my favorite rifle company. I love this and can't wait for one. As a proud owner of an M89 built from all SOLGW parts I can tell everyone who doesn't know already, the quality of the fit and function of every part that goes into these rifles is perfect. When building one with your parts I came to really appreciate the precision. Not to mention the tack driver accuracy! The only question i have about this new rifle is what ALOT of people are wondering... Why no ambi bolt catch/release? This seemed to be the perfect opportunity to add it and it would be so popular you couldn't make enough of them. Please make a version of the lower with it!!! Please! Small lever like SIG has implemented is perfect!

Man I really like this one. Lots of thought went into this rifle. I almost bought a SOLGW rifle a few years back. I had just began my journey into building my own custom AR’s and decided on SOLGW bcg for a build I was doing. My goal was to do my build and then purchase a production gun that was top tier and compare the two. It took over three months to get a bcg to me because some rail scale I threw in my cart at the last minute wound up on backorder. The entire process just left a bad taste in my mouth. The whole deal with customer service was horrible; I finally told them to keep the rail scale and just send me the bcg for my build. Two things happened after that. First, I wound up putting another companies bcg in my build, second I damn sure as hell wasn’t fixing to drop all that money on a complete gun from SOLGW after the fiasco with a bcg. So I bought a type A rifle instead. Who knows maybe I was just the customer that slipped through the cracks. I still think they make some of the most badass blasters out there! Mike is just a wealth of knowledge and the evolution of SOLGW is very evident in the MK1 compared to the rifle I was going to buy all those years ago. Guess I need to start saving up for another top tier rifle and buy myself one of these. Keep up the good work y’all.

Whomever runs their FB messenger told me it was their flagship combat gun. I've never shot anything better. I had opportunity to run several mags through a dude's Geissele, and it was a damned fine rifle. But that Geissele felt like a Cadillac whereas my SOLGW feels like a Rolls-Royce or a Bentley. I haven't had opportunity to try a Type A, yet. But I'm ok with that. They can't be better than SOLGW.

A bolt out of airmet? That's insane! For my brothers, that's a maraging super steel requiring exotic materials and processeng. It's what the tip of bunker buster bombs is made of which is what allows it to bury itself a million feet underground without failing. It's also expensive af and very difficult to machine, as you'd imagine. That's pretty cool though.
