Яйцом смазать до подъёма, чтоб потом тесто уже не трогать вообще. Пудрой посыпать остывший пирог, иначе растает. Нарезать когда остынет и "отдохнёт ". Спасибо за рецепт и интересное оформление! ❤

Смазать сливочным маслом и обильно посыпать сахарной ванильной пудрой, приминая к корке силиконовой лопаткой. Немного постоит и, ещё раз, обсыпать пудрой , чтобы корка глазури была не тонкой.

This reminds me of one grandma's Stollen. She bought it at the local grocery store every year. I haven't seen it in a few years. I guess the older generations didn't pass this tradition down to us. It also reminds me of my other grandma's tea ring. Our recipe is basically make bread dough, roll it out, butter it and sprinkle on raisins (or dump them in, since my dad and I like a lot of raisins in it), roll it up like you're making cinnamon rolls, but instead of cutting it into separate servings, you make a large circle, and bake it. A little icing on top.

I think stollen is more dense than this. But also it’s got that marzipan running through the middle, which is the best bit, obvs ;)
