Your color season isn’t dependent on how light or dark your skin tone is. A winter can be extremely pale or the darkest tone of black skin. Black People can be a light spring too. It’s about color harmony and about contrast. Many very pale women with cool toned skin and black hair are dark winters and black women can be light summers, if they’re cool toned and have low contrast. POC often get told the wrong season because people still do t understand that not all POC are warm toned, for example. And not all pale People are cool toned. Like Anne Hathaway is a winter. Beyoncé is a spring or autumn. Reese Witherspoon isn’t a summer because her skin is pale. She’s a summer because her skin is cool toned and she has low contrast with her other features, like hair and eyebrow color. Pale cool skin and black hair , eyebrows is high contrast and winter. It’s about what color undertone, cool or warm soft or deep fits one. But in general all seasons have pastels and deeper tones available.
