Acoustic Bass Guitar Comparison: Robot 4 vs. AEB8

A short sound comparison of two fretted four-string acoustic bass guitars: The Ibanez AEB8E-BK and the Stanford Robot 4.
Acoustic sound only, recorded with a Beyerdynamic MCE 530 stereo set directly into the camcorder.
The Stanford 34" long scale bass provides a solid cedar top and laminated mahogany back and sides, the Ibanez 32" medium scale bass is made of laminated agathis wood. Also the different location of the sound hole produces a different sound and makes the instrument a bit louder.

Sounds like you might need to crown quite a few frets on the AEB8E. Mine definitely needs that.

I like all bass sounds but if I had to choose, I'd say that I have a preference for the AEB8.
