Nice playing! Figure 8 pickup pattern has a strong proximity effect, i.e. they boost the bass of sound sources that are too close to the mic. It works well with the violin but the guitar is very bass heavy because of this. If you move back about 12-18" it would probably sound better. But I really enjoyed this.
