I've been enjoying this game so far, it's got a great soundtrack, the path actions are a cool concept, and the battle system is engaging. Just finished Alfyn's chapter 1, so i'm pretty early in the game, but this game is pretty good so far.

Glad you liked the music here! Of course all credit goes to the original creators, I'm just the guy who liked it all enough to throw it all together, haha. Octopath has got to be one of my favorite soundtrack, only beaten by Xenoblade Chronicles 2. There's actually been quite a few new Octopath remixes made since this video was made late last year, a shame they can't be included now, but I do have a playlist with all the good Octopath remixes I know. I was gonna say it's in the description, but guess not, whoops, ima add that now, haha

Octopath is probably my favourite game that I played this year, it got a bit grindy towards the postgame but otherwise it was really good! My only other complaint is that it doesn't have much replayability, but maybe in another year or two I'll give it another go and then I'll be interested again.

Well there is also Bravely Default II coming out next year for something else to get into. This team made Bravely Default, Bravely Second, then Octopath, and is now soon releasing Default 2, with Default games having gameplay a bit different than Octopath, but clearly what Octopath was inspired by

@@AcousticHarmonia Yeah, I'm really looking forward to it! I never played the original Bravely Default but I've watched gameplay of it and the soundtrack is for sure in my top 3 video game soundtracks.

@@deltaphant_ The soundtrack of Default is absolutely incredible, and it's story is (mostly) engaging. After the halfway point, it's like "how bout you fight the main 4 bosses 4 more times before the true ending!", so it really really drags on... Currently doing a playthrough of Bravely Second, which has nothing like that, and is much more enjoyable gameplay-wise (to me at least)

Such an awesome collection! I just finished the game, and I absolutely loved it!(except the part I have to retry that super hard final boss fight like 3,4 times lol)and currently now searching for its beautiful music and remixes, this collection sure comes in handy! Nice job!

Yeah I think I got the final boss on my third try? It was pretty annoying how you have to do the boss rush over every time... Glad you liked the music thrown together here! Unfortunately this was thrown together a while back and there's now a lot of new remixes that have come out since then. One of the most notable channels to make a lot of Octopath remixes since then was Family Jules, who does mostly rock style covers. Though there should also be a playlist in the description that has all the solid Octopath remixes I've discovered thus far

i always wished primrose! she'd be awesome, a more unorthodox type character. her and tressa. after those two, the rest are a bit easy. maybe ophelia, but she reminds me so much of palutena.

If we got an octopath character, I'd love to see something where you have the base character, the alternate colors are the different outfits for different jobs, but their playstyle changes to fit the different "job"
