I just started a flock for the quality of the egg not necessarily the cost savings. If it cost less overall, then that's a bonus.

I’ve had a backyard flock for 3 yrs. Great video. My girls lay every day after they r a yr old. Some free range, some are in coop. But I do feed from a bag. So I’m interested in making my own food for them. I made a coop out of old shed. I use a small dog plastic kennel for nesting box. They pile in there together.

Yes. Absolutely true. The nutrition and taste is much better. I would like to add that we have 5 hins 2 rhoadisland red and 3 golden. Plus 1 rooster. 6 total. I mainly use local feedmill makes grinded layer feed . $15 for 50 lbs. Has protein and calcium in it plus household scraps a month. That's .50 cents a day with 4 to 5 eggs a day.

New to the channel. I love eggs . So with fresh eggs you don’t have to refrigerate them

Just tried my Aunt’s Chickens eggs. The size varied between them and I found them easier to prepare due to the yolk being more loose for example when whisking. I found the taste to be pretty much the same

Please make a video about the quality of HOME GROWN eggs… I have run into buying very watery eggs from a neighbor, which were supposedly fresh that week. I learned later from someone else that their hens might be getting old, molting, etc? Their eggs always have the yokes at the “bottom”, or next to the shell, when I hard boil them, and the whites are “crumbly”. I can only assume that they’re really old eggs or something?? Watery eggs are not good at all for baking, or for hard boiling!

I get fresh farm eggs often, in dozen I just received I noticed alot of them when I break them open the yoke break so easy in the pan,is this ok? Or is something wrong with the egg.

Let's be real.. Most city people would rather buy pasture raised oranic eggs whenever they want, for $6-$7 each from the store than to have to deal with having live chickens

I run across people who are scared to eat homegrown eggs. I've seen commercial hens before, and they looked horrible. Show them that difference once if you can please.
